He's got multiple consecutive reports with lead. It's not the gas unless he is only going to one station that is somehow continuously contaminating all of their pumps.

My mistake, I didn't look at the rest. Other than rod/main bearings, what other parts of the engine prior to 2011 had lead?

Honestly, I did not pay attention to gauge. I only noticed, when the warning came up to center display. |

Was anyone at Road America with Northwoods Shelby this past weekend? Talked to some friends who attended and apparently a guy with a Camaro Z/28 wrecked pretty bad at the kink.

Nice! I've yet to get onto VIR.. it's a solid 5 hours away which scares me. I need to get on that truck/trailer life haha I have been on the track via a "hot lap" when BMW was trying to see their M performance school. It's a wild track for sure

Almost got it back but slid into Armco rail, then glanced of to the other side of the track and hit the jersey barrier. The first hit was at over 100mph but I had six point harness and a hans unit. I walked away with minor rib bruises. Took the track an hour and a half to replace Armco barriers I feel so bad loosing my Camaro but that's why you buy track insurance."

Wow. He made it out of there without significant injury. Pretty amazing.
That strut brace looks pretty bent, i wonder if it helped take some of the damage.

Sounds like he glanced it rather than hitting head-on, but the brace does look bent. The seats and harnesses no doubt helped here.

Speed sf at Laguna seca On 08/10 (Friday) is $220 and they are offering 10% off. I think I'll do a double day.
Thought I'd post in case anyone is interested.

That is an extremely un-bad wreck, as wrecks at The Kink go anyway

Had an interesting experience at the track yesterday.
I'm running RE71Rs in a 275 square setup. After my last track sessions at Watkins I wasn't getting even tire wear so made a few alignment changes. Car handled good other than the tire wear. Changed; (fr camber from -2.8 to -3.2 and rear camber from -2.0 to -1.8) 1st session of the day yesterday the steering inputs were really twitchy especially on high speed sweepers where the car unweighted over a crest at turn in. & steering input feel was very poor. I couldn't understand how the camber changes would have such a big impact on the handling. 2nd session the car felt a little better and I wondered... was I just adjusting to the new setup. 3rd session, the car was magic.... absolutely fantastic. So; what was the issue? TIRES! This was the first time that I swapped fronts & rears on my square set up. It just took some time for them the wear in & get the contact patch back. ....just something to be aware of when swapping tires around.
