Congrats on the new PB! I'm a couple days away from heading to WGI with my new RE71R 275 with 18x10 T-S5 sq setup, so this is interesting to me. My suspension is different than yours, so I would imagine my tire wear would be different as well. I have H&R sport springs and I pulled my front alignment pins on Sunday - getting an alignment done tomorrow at a local performance shop. Honestly, I cant wait to get my damn B8s in so I can install them with and my camber plates... Also new for this weekend, I upgraded my brake pads to PFC 11 all around, still stock rotors and running Motul RBF 600. I'm not the best to give you suggestions I guess, but I can at least share my experience when I'm through with my weekend at WGI

Last Saturday I got my first track day in my E92 M3 at Road America. It was a blast! Has so much potential even compared to my e46 m3 that was extremely well set up, I wasn't expecting it to be that much better. But the e92 pulled hard, felt great in the turns, braking was suburb, etc.

I was able to beat my e46 m3 personal best by my second session. Which was only my 4th session in two years. It's like riding a bike though haha. Dct transmission was amazing on track even though I had a couple hiccups with it. However the speed of the shifts and confidence of the downshifts made it more enjoyable for me. I've always had a stick shift car when tracking so I was a little worried about switching but I'm happy I did.

Highlight of the weekend on track for me was getting to play with some Porsche gt3's. Always been a dream car so anytime I can share the track let along mix it up with them is amazing.

So for the dct I got a malfunction twice in two different occasions. Code had something to do with low pressure and one time did come after a higher g braking zone/turn. I am wondering if it was fluid starvation. Either from fluid moving around or possible low fluid. Has anyone else had that happen?

Yep plan is to be there for that event. My favorite one of the year. We refer to it as our mancation haha. As long as there is no rain it is very beautiful. All the trees are changing colors and makes for some great shots on track. Are you signing up?

It's the Supersprint race with their mid pipe which has a resonator. Video makes it seem much louder since I mounted a mic to my license plate.

19's are perfectly capable on track. And if you mean you have RE-11's on your 19's then you will be more than fine. I'm 12 track days deep into this rabbit hole and up until now I've just been running pilot super sports on 19" forgestars (10"/11") and have been able to turn out some pretty decent lap times. The only issue I've had so far is that my kw clubsport suspension is outperforming the tires and the 300tw street compound isn't holding up to the abuse. I'm currently searching for some track wheels to alleviate that issue.

Yup I have RE-11's on my ZCP's right now. Rears are less than 50% life anyway although the fronts are nearly new so I wont be too sad if they get cooked over a few days this summer. A separate track wheel set would be awesome but I need to see how often I get to the track first and whether it makes sense. I have H&R race spring and camber pins pulled so I'm hoping that helps preserve my front tires some as well.

I imagine you've got quite a bit more negative camber so I'm sure thats helping your tires last.

I've been running -2.5* in the front and -1.6* in the rear and it was ok up until the last few track days. I think if I bumped it up to -3* or -3.5* it would help, but I believe my main issue is compound.

@Samo6556 I had the same pressure error code. I installed the Slon Workshop DCT pan and tested this past Sunday at the same track. Transmission was smoother and no limp mode or error codes

Edit: oh and I was 5-6 seconds faster than my previous PB, but I had better tires and brake pads than before too. Posted earlier about that

I'm 99% sure I will be signing up. I do the event every year, but just have not confirmed with the wife yet haha. I like to refer to that weekend as the mancation with all the friends tracking. Usually when we go there we all stay up at the Ostoff Resort which is only a couple miles away. But there was some talk last year about renting a house. However I really enjoy staying at the Ostoff Resort. Honestly its so much fun being up there, hanging out at the track, and going to Schwarz's Supper Club Saturday night. A big must do tradition to eat there.

Awesome great to know. Did you try overfilling before getting the pan? I was thinking about the Do88 DCT cooler and then overfilling when installing that. Also hoping the the little extra capacity from the cooler could help too?

How long did it take you to get the pan after you ordered?

Awesome great to know. Did you try overfilling before getting the pan? I was thinking about the Do88 DCT cooler and then overfilling when installing that. Also hoping the the little extra capacity from the cooler could help too?

How long did it take you to get the pan after you ordered?

I didn't try overfilling before. Pan was replaced by previous owner in late 2016 and I didn't screw with it till now. With the new pan we were able to add the extra amount without using banjo bolts. Standard fill procedure.

I would go pan first if your error was pressure. It's now evident that heat was not the problem. Took 1 month from shipped to delivered

I stopped by Alex shop the other week and saw your car. Looking if like a great build. I really like the steering wheel your installing. Got me thinking about that for my car

Thanks man. Yeah had a lengthy talk with Alex today to make sure we are on track to get everything done this week so I can go pick it up this weekend. Still a few things left to do.

The steering wheel feels amazing. Can't wait to try it out. It is a bit pricey but worth it and I know KMP has the plug and play version on their website for the e92. There is another member in here, forgot who it was that has that wheel on the e92.

Let's definitely plan on getting up to RA this fall, it will be about a 10hr drive for me

just google local sign shops in your area. the place local to me charges about $12 for vinyl numbers... i thought about the magnetic decal thing, but i always seem to see them fly off at the track. i suppose i could put some clear tape on the leading edge. i only have to use them at the track with sound limits, so its not a big deal to just pay for them a few times a year.
