I saw some pics that had a little or no wear. Just a genaralised comment. That's all.

There was someone recently who changed his bearings on his 09 M3 at 61k miles, of which 40K miles were with a supercharger fitted and included track usage....and they were fine.

Well I may be having a bearing issue as well. Started hearing a slight tick a couple weeks ago but it went away. It now seems to be back again and increases in frequency with revs. It isn't as loud or obvious as some videos I've watched, but here is my video of it.

2012 e92 m3, completely stock, 42,827 miles, oil changes done every 6-8k miles or so. Probably around 16 track days with plenty of spirited driving on the street. Car is babied until oil is up to operating temp.

I have also attached my last oil analysis. Just changed my oil a few weeks ago and am awaiting the latest analysis that I'll share when it is done.

IF the "ticking" is caused by the crank and a bearing shell "touching" the noise will get worse very quickly and the engine will unlikely last more than another 100 miles.
Most M3s tick. A small number of M3s have bearing failures.
A "ticking" M3 is no indication that the bearings are due to fail.
A ticking/knocking noise that is loudest, or appears around 2000 to 2500 rpms is a completely different story then you are most likely f*#ked.

I'm thinking that some of us need to post some videos of normal ticking noises from these motors so people don't start freaking out (injector and valve train noises). I recently got my plugs changed as well as an oil change and I'm getting a lot more ticking noise (not knocking), but it's to be expected.

Mine seems to become much more frequent and audible around 2000-2500 rpms. Video is posted now

JUST checking if someone can identify if the issues with ROD bearing can listen to my ENGINE...

Currently car has

88k+ miles always used 10w60 oil change every 7-8k miles, Sounds seem the same since i got the car new but now with all the issues with people had issues with ROD Bearing got me worried.

i dont hear a clicking sound or ticking when accelerating like yours but ill try it again today... yea oil change due next week and ill replace mine then.. how much oil do you need? i need to find a test tube or some sort...

also did yours go out?

Just go to blackstone's website, create an account and request a sampling kit. They will send it free of charge with everything you need to collect the sample.

I have a road trip today that will total around 600 miles so hopefully it'll make it through that ok.

I'm thinking I should make an appointment at the dealer next week to have it brought to their attention since I only have 7000 miles left on the warranty and they likely won't do anything until some serious actually happens that throws a code (or rod lol)

If it lasts 600 miles then its most likely something else making that noise.
