Exhaust ideas :slap:
I have a 2011 E92 and looking for HP gains...perhaps change the exhaust for a more deeper sounding acceleration.
Any ideas? Lastly, I'm a total noob when it comes to this, but what is the benefit of coilovers? Cheers! |

I don't know the technical stuff, but the main reason why people put coilovers is so that they have the ability of adjusting the ride height to whatever they like whenever they'd like. Compared to Springs, you only have a single height and in long term, springs are bad for your suspension. Where as coilovers aren't.

please excuse me if this is in the wrong section, 1st time post.
i have a 2010 e92 m3 dct which has an akrapovic exhaust and a dry carbon a/m induction. the car has had an ongoing issue with misfiring under load (same hot or cold) and just wondering is anyone can give me any help as to what it could be. i have sent it to my local BMW dealer numerous times and they have tried numerous things, none of which have fixed the problem and they are stumped. the computer is not throwing any fault codes and if anything it feels like it is running lean or pinging, i have always used 98 octane fuel. i have tried swapping the air induction to standard, BMW have done a software update, new spark plugs, new idle control module, temperature sensor. someone said it could be the exhaust due to the lack of back pressure? the car is fitted with a delete/r which stops the engine light coming on for the exhaust, bmw have also disconnected this system and driven it to see if any other faults come up other than the exhaust and nothing shows? i love the car but its driving me insane can anyone help?? |

It has been a long time since I posted. I have long since sold my E93 M3 but I noticed that a lot of my links were broken. I tried to refresh as much as I could.

Replace your primary cats with test pipes and add a tune.

30-40hp is what is usually quoted. There is a ton of info on here if you look around.
