M3 exhaust modification

Has anybody seen the OEM exhaust mod done on a BMW X5M...?

There's a little drone at 75mph in 7th which goes away if you stay in 6th or speed up/down a little bit. Really not that bad and doesn't bother me at all.

Btw, as I have stated in other posts - the ACM mod sounds amazing in person (better than videos) and I couldn't be happier.

I hope you can help me. I'm in the decision between Eisenmann and OEM exhaust mod.

so can you guys with the OEM exhaust mod (Periokid version) answer me this questions:

-how much louder is it by comparison with the OEM?
-is it louder in the higher RPM's?
-did anyone heard the BMW PP and the OEM exhaust mod?
-which modell year had the double wall exhaust?

Pretty detailed questions but you can get idea here (begining and end of video..compares Eisenmann vs OEM Moded)

What's the point of leaving one side of the opening in tact? I would think "hinging" it back and forth would be worse than just cutting it out all the way. Make it easier to work on the pipe inside.

The guy is so anal that he wants everything perfect... also he mentioned that if you do the wrap in a long run (dont know how long) it might start to shred or clogged up the exhaust if you use the heat wrap so replacing it with the pipe is a must...

Anyone recommend a shop in the NorCal area (preferably a place in Mountain View, San Jose area)? I found couple of posts where smmmurf and chaos888 got it done by Exhaust Works in Belmont, but when I called he said that he would take 2 days to do it. Any other place that can get it done in a day?

Also, any local guys who has done this mod want to meet up so that I can hear what it sounds like?

I have the muffler delete. I think ur talking about no cats and the whole nine yards though. I'd imagine catless w/ muffler delete would be InSanE. my muffler delete is race car loud when ur on it, but the drone...argh...

Just dropped the exhaust off going to do the 4 pipe method. I drove home without the exhaust oh yeah it was a awesome experience with the top down.
