Perhaps they did not install the replacement pump correctly. Or perhaps the fuel tank/cap has a small leak that they have not identified. The last possibility that I could think of is that there is a short somewhere that's burning out the pump (assuming the pump has actually failed). At least the pump, if installed by a dealer, get a 2 year warranty so if it keeps failing at the current rate, you would not be out of pocket for the part (I believe you still pay for labor, though). |

Looked at mine last night. It's the same way, just a bit of clear on that leading edge underneath. My car is 100% factory paint.
