Nice to know... How agressive are you? Any time on the track? How many launches?
I've got 40k, probably a dozen or so launches or something close to it, and a dozen or so track days. Red line full throttle shifts... countless. Never a problem.

08 sold at 93K, no problems. Changed oil at 55K.

09 E90. 54k 30+ track events ~5 autox. No issues other than lag before they fixed the software.

No track time and no launches. Red line throttle shifts on every highway entrance ramp with no traffic in front of me.

4. No launches.
5. IND found the transmission gasket leaking (very slightly) last winter. Gasket and fluid were replaced. Proactively will do so after every season.
6. No other problems or work performed.
7. I have a DCT transmission oil gauge that I monitor while tracking.

Have you ever had a blackstone oil analysis done?

I haven't seen many BS reports with over 50K online. Could be helpful for the community.

2009 with 35K here last 10K supercharged !!!!!about 20 track days after blower went in !!!!

I'll keep my weight savings, ease of operation, cheap repair and driving enjoyment.

It's cool to see these transmissions being bulletproof though, even SMG II was "good", replacement a SMG pump every 100k is the only real issue that I ever noticed.

I REALLY like the technology, but I like being able to pull the transmission out myself and not having these added levels of complexity.

It is quite a relief....50,000 miles for me and the transmission/clutches feels the same as when I first bought it.

My SMGII M3s went through clutches at quite a rate which spoilt a fun drive.

I plan to do one next oil change at 117,000 miles, won't be too long from now. I'm at 115,569 now.

sorry to be a noob, but what do you guys consider launching the DCT? Ive taken traction off and floored it and it kinda "launches" it... jumps rpms then dumps clutch... usually burns through 1st and some 2nd

Is there another why to launch it? Like where the launch control flag comes up? If so, i havnt done that yet...

i have 38K on mine and no issues, just bought it 2 weeks ago though
