We do not have any detailed pricing or delivery date information either. The discussion is placing a deposit with a dealer that will guarantee the price at MSRP vs wait untill the car comes out and we will announce pricing based on demand as some dealers do.

I agree with almost all the other comments here. If you dealer is pulling that crap...take your business elsewhere. You may spend an afternoon with the online BMW NA dealer site and on the forums to find one but you will find a dealer who will sell you a car at MSRP and not gouge you in the process. Mind you it may take you waiting a minute to get the car so if you expect to be the 10th M3 in the country or something...then you will probably have to pay but its like flying standby if you're flexibile you'll get to where you want to be eventually!
