You guys own an Carly WIFI OBD 2 dongle?
If so do an session log file and post the engine parameters on here, if we still can't help you get in contact with certified technicians from Carly in munich over an in app help request feature. You can send all engine parameters to the Carly support team.
These guys are wizards when it goes to tackle down trouble codes on our cars! All that For free and unlimited, after you purchased the OBD2 adapter and app
For more info check the vid out in my sig.

I just got this code today too. My M3 is under CPO until the 29th this month, but if this is a battery problem, CPO doesn't cover that, so perhaps I should just replace it, and given that it's almost six years old at this point, it probably makes sense to not keep stretching it out. I've done this twice on my wife's E90...isn't so much fun to have to fool with all that "stuff" on top of the battery before you can even get it out?

This is the first issue the M3 has had since new. 34k miles now; I've owned it almost four years. It has never had a warranty claim under the factory nor CPO warranty.

This is a code you need not worry about unless it continues to pop up over and over again. Just clear the code and carry on...

If it resurfaces, replace and register the battery.

Just saw this post. Yes, I cleared it and I think it was 3 start/stop cycles later it was back. Car was also sluggish to turn over; I didn't check the voltage as it was obvious what was wrong. Battery changed, registered, and all is fine now. The M3 doesn't get driven much and so stays on a CTEK smart charger/tender a lot, and the CTEK thought everything was fine (battery would take a full charge and test ok) -- apparently it is not as smart as it thinks it is.

Hey Mike. How are you? Got this code on my 2012 M3 and I'd appreciate input of your expertise.

I had 2b13 and dsc 5e19, so when you said look for corresponding dsc code does that imply battery or something else?

No symptoms although if I don't drive for a week I do get a battery warning. (Sorry poor car)
Could be the radio on the aftermarket alarm even though not enabled.

The ff data wouldn't read out(or I was too impatient).
When I cleared the dsc code my car chimed and complained loudly with adsc warning and then went away.

Thanks
Chris
