If you want to see some ridiculous garages, head on over to www.garagejournal.com Some of them are over the top of over the top. Others are really nice execution with limited space/funds/whatever. Something for everyone.

Right now...I just want a/c in my garage. Hell, I'd take a fan! It was 110 degrees in my garage yesterday.

But I'd go with a 2 post lift, tire machine and balancer and hell...and alignment rack. A nice tool box, sink, and a nice compressor. Don't need the lines, a long hose will do.

I'd like a nice epoxy floor. Then build a front office like room with the fridge, couch, and TV. Then hire a model in a bikini to serve me drinks while I'm covered in grease and sweat.

OP, there's a nice article in this months Whispering Bomb, which is the Los Angeles CCA by the detailed who has a column. He had a client build a garage at his house for the detailer to work on his cars. he listed a lot of the stuff you mentioned.

If I could do whatever I wanted I'd have room for about 8 cars, 2 post lift, large compressor outside so not loud, sink, parts washer, crazy lighting, lots of cabinets and every tool possible, as well as a lounge area with desk, couch, tv, and beer fridge.

Yeah, A/C is on my list too. Your heat is worse than mine with the humidity in Texas. Still, over 100 sucks.

Just had a guy out to the house to bid a mini-split system. Gonna need some serious tonnage though for 660 square feet w/ all the heat inputs and low insulation value of the doors (even though they are insulated doors).

I bought a couple of these for the office and love em. I don't have a garage yet (condo) but when I do, they will probably make their way over there.

agree with the wall decor inclusive of some rare BMW posters and a shelf to display 1/18 and 1/43 models. I'm thinking more like a functional museum - Lift/tools/sink all good ideas. To fill it up:

e92 M3 dedicated track prepped car
e30 M3 evo garage queen
e46 M3 CSL
F10 M5 daily driver
Land Rover Defender for the tough jobs

It is about quantity, not pretty floors.

Messy diesel oil changes just turn the floor black anyway.

Bays 1-3 have 8 foot doors. The garage is equipped with a 100A subpanel for the welder, plasma cutter and 80 gal shop compressor. 8 foot doors allow the rock crawlers in to park. I could use a lift in there for working on the M3. I am used to just about walking under my rock crawlers.

Bay 4 has workbenches, primary 300A service multiple 220V (30A to 50A) outlets.

Bays 5-7 are the only ones with direct access to the house. The M3 is in #5.

Can never have too much garage space for toys.

I had to let the wife have her lake lot to get my garages. Fair trade.

You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
