I've been running this setup for a few days and the verdict is in:
It sounds EPIC. Very, VERY good. I listen to everything from Dubstep to hard rock to Musicals, and it handles them all very, very well. I've only had 3 relatively minor problems: 1. About 95% of the time I have to manually go to Settings-->General-->Bluetooth and re-establish the connection with the car every time I get in the car. Anyone know if there's a solution to prevent this? 2. When answering a call via the steering wheel button it auto-selects the BMW's bluetooth. But when making a call via the phone it auto-selects the Samsung unit, and you have to manually select the BMW unit. 3. Volume won't go above medium-loud. It's not quiet, but in some songs it won't get particularly loud, even when the volume on the phone and Samsung unit are maxed. Not a big deal. Overall it's infinitely better than any other solution I've tried. Highly recommend it if you don't mind having to manually connect it in settings whenever you enter the car. Parker |

Parker, some questions:
1) You're connecting your phone or the headset to the car? If it's the phone, that's interesting, as my phone is picked up w/out an issue every time I get in the car, by the car and the Samsung. Syncs right up and goes. 2) Hmmmmmmmmmmm.....I always voice dial, so it uses the BMW unit regardless of whether the Samsung is in place. The other quick option is to flip off the Samsung unit before you call w/the phone. What year is your E92? Might be a difference w/the b/t modules BMW is using from year to year. 3) If you have an Android phone, give the PowerAmp app a whirl. They have try before you buy (it's only $3-$4, and worth *every* penny), and it has a (working!) pre-amp. That might give you the extra volume that you're looking for. Just to let everyone know, I bought one of these for my 08, it plugs into the aux, I bought a 6" ext cable from radio shack because the lid wont shut if you dont. You can charge it while it is plugged in. It works very nice, good quality audio and is not all that expensive.
Works with all phones not just HTC. http://www.pocketables.com/2012/05/h...at-sprint.html

I'm not too fond of that one b/c it has the earpiece attached to it, but such is life.
I'm glad I purchased a bunch of the originals when I did. They are still being sold on Amazon, but for twice what I originally paid for them. |

This:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bluetooth-A2...item2a2e9fd488 Plus this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Cooper-...item25794b2347 works really well. you have to use your "device" to skip tracks but for streaming pandora and other music from my phone, it works great. really cheap too. |

anyone ever try the Jabra clipper?
http://www.jabra.com/Products/Blueto.../Jabra_CLIPPER price is around $60, so about the same as the remaining Samsung HS3000.
