Man you got loose on the 2nd run. Def. looks like you need more tire and grip in the rear to handle all that power. That must have been so much fun to legally try and v-max.

Just for reference, here are some times of some standing mile MPH's of (very quick) stock cars

184 - ZR1
171 - C6 Z06
171 - 997TT
165 - 996TT (K16s)
155 - Carrera S

Yes - 502 RWHP with a VT2-600.

Torque and traction really help with standing mile speeds.. Both are lacking on my car.

So you listed a few interesting cars.. We have a Supercharged 6.2-liter V8, a 7.0-Liter V8 and a Twin Turbo 3.6-liter Boxer (with a traction advantage).

Since I've got a 4.0-liter V8 with only 6.5 PSI of boost and 265 PS2's I think that it was a pretty decent run. We also had a pretty stiff head wind that day.

Yep I knew our speedos were fairly optimistic. Found out first hand with gps data on the track. Was surprised how much slower I was going on the front straight at PR than I thought. Still very good run. You have the ess vt2 600 and still on stock tires. Change that up and gets you into low 170s, add some meth and maybe 180?

True - I would have liked to make more runs but it took from 7:30am to 4:00pm to make two passes.

One other thing to note about the ZR1 is this

Curb Weight (lbs) 3353
Horsepower 638@6500
Torque (lb-ft) 604@3800

It makes 277 pounds of torque MORE than my M3 does with a supercharger and it's 351lbs lighter. I'm sure that the others have a pretty high torque value too but I need to stop googling and get back to work.. lol

Pretty sure that won't fit. Plus I do track the car so I don't want to kick it too far out of balance traction wise.

Right now I'm leaning towards 18x9.5 | 265/35 F & 18x10.5 | 295/30 R

I thought I had seen some members stuff a 315 in and make it work. If you track the car that wouldn't work though as you said, would get a huge difference between front and rear which isn't ideal for a car that already understeers a fair amount.

Go to texasmile.net and sign up for the mailing list. They announce the time and date that registration opens and it usually fills up very fast so you'll need to jump on it.

They usually have two events per year so I'm going back in march with better traction and then maybe again in the fall with more boost.
