Thanks, I can sleep now. I guess this will put to rest the 335 v. M3 debate; because the M will spank that 335 silly (even with all the ancillary power boosters) in any venue. Now the non believer 335 owners will likely use the cost disparity as their only remaining defense. I previously posted an estimated 3500 lb. weight and 420-425 hp. I'll reassert my $65k-$68K well equipped price target. These recent Official BMW photos are stunning. Space Grey with those beautiful 19s for me! |

Drag
Drag seems very close or perhaps a bit worse than the 335i.
335i: Cd x A = .30 x 22.7 ft^2 = 6.81 M3: Cd x A = ?? 6.84 Not really significantly worse, 100 lb less weight and 120 hp will more than make up for that! |

Same E92 M3 for the NA?
After going through the update/catalog and BMW official website, such as colors/options, the next question is that if customers in North America will get the same M3 shown in Europe spec? e.g. "no cup holder above glove compartment", "amber side marker on front bumper", etc. To BMWNA, if you insist, please add - "No Cost Delete Options" for those two items at least!!!

interlagos blue and alpine white look beautiful. i'm saddened that there will be no phoenix yellow 2 or some of the other rumored colors like chrome.

This probably has something to do with E92 M3 height. 335i is at 54.1 inch tall while E92 M3 is at 55.8 inch tall.

Width, Cd, etc.
M3 is 1.3 inches wider as well (BMW quoted 1.6 I calculated 1.33 from their specs) ! I guess I am suprised about the height difference. I would have definitely thought the M3 would be less high. Given these differences it seem they have managed the Cd part of the equation quite well.
