0.5 miles for European delivery. That 1/2 mile is most likely because my first trip was delayed by the Volcano.

I left it with 1568 miles. We will see how many extra miles it was driven when I take US delivery in 2 weeks
I know they put the car into a transportation mode with US delivery but am unsure if they do so for a car after European delivery.

I took the 3 series manufacturing plant tour. The final step in manufacturing is to run the car on a set of rollers.......shift through each gear......up to 55 or 65 mph just to make sure everything is working. They do not dyno or redline the car. Each model had its own procedure depending on engine and transmission. The M3 is not manufactured in the same plant but I am sure that it would fairly similar.

Bout 30... 5 were from my test drive. I like to imagine the other 25 being driven gently below 4000 RPM with slow RPM ramping followed by engine braking
