I was thinking about that too. Just not sure about the automatic gearbox. My friend has a matte white one and it looks and sounds insane. Just not sure how it drives...

This can also be had in the low eighties.

I have not driven one personally but the sound and appearance is

The fact that it does not rev match really kills it for a % of people...not to mention the fact of no man tranny

There are a few out there now in the mid to high 70's with less than 10k miles. I see one in my garage in the next 18 months.

Yup sold the car today. I'll miss her, but it was more like a one night stand. I didn't love her. Couple of booty calls here and there but that's it.

Not even a question. GT3 997 is head and shoulders above the rest in terms of driving thrills and excitement. It is the closest car to driving perfection you could find below $150K. The most desirable car to have.

+1 GT3 .1, .2 both are ok.
If you can wait, wait.. If you can't, pull the trigger on .1. Either way you won't be disappointed. Rode them around the track. Fantastic.

The sound is .

Another M3! This is an M3 forum. Go to the forum that supports your next great ride. They can tell you what a great choice you made.

I haven't made a choice and you are browsing the wrong section if all you care about is talking about M3's.

Right, but this is the 'M3 vs.' section which invites talk of other makes & models, alongside the M3.

Thanks for your understanding!

Good point, let me fade a bit here. I'm kinda' an M3 fan. Enjoy your next ride, whatever you decide on. Maybe we can agree that we like our cars more than the average Joe.

Well said!

My heart burns too when an M3 owner moves away.

Trust me I can drive it. Not saying I'm an expert here, but I've done countless track days in my E46 M3 as well as track school. I've also done countless track days in my R6 so I'm accustomed to have to rev stuff to make it go. This car was well taken care of but not babied.

I did over 4K miles in 2 months across some of the best drivings roads the west has to offer to come to this decision.

I guess you guys really put the M3 on a high pedestal to think you can't be bored with it.

Have you driven lighter cars to compare?

If you want something to drive everyday the 997-TT might be a better choice than the GT3.
