I like the gray but I'm not feeling this one as much.
If anything I also liked the matte cars done in a dramatically different color to really stand out. Either way this is pretty desirable |

Yeah, I'm not a fan - it looks like an undercoat rather than a finished product. Frozen Grey does look better!

The exterior finish reminds me of the civics that are primed black, driving down the 405 with huge wings and no other modifications. The FG was definitely a better choice, but what ever happened to the Special Edition M3s (that were supposedly coming out X-MAS) with the sexy blue (not for US)?

I would take the frozen grey over the black any day even though I really love both matte colors. It's just like it was stated before though, here in Los Angeles the whole Matte Black game has gotten carried away, they think there car is the sh*t if it's matte black, so you'll see an integra to an F430 with the paint scheme. But Frozen Grey, that's a different story!
Still super demonic looking though.

Sorry, just not feeling it. The Frozen Grey is much better or try a new matte color!

Living in Utah, we haven't been exposed to the matte colors, so I would be game for any of the matte colors for MY2011.
By the way, I am taking March allocation for a 2011 E92 and I am trying to find out more about frozen gray and performance packages through the dealer. I was told that I could do any color for an additional $4000 if the matte colors are not available in the USA.

That does look pretty good. But I'm just generally not a fan of the whole matte trend. Not to mention that I have yet to see an OEM matte BMW paint job in person. OEM matte paint jobs are mirages on the horizon currently, at least here in the U.S.
When I start seeing them around more, I'll make a final judgment (and aftermarket paint jobs don't count).

I think pictures probably wont do the car justice. Matte colors are somewhat difficult to capture properly on photo.
Im sure with a drop / some nice wheels and tint it would look stunning in real.

i may be in the minority, but i've never understood the matte look. couldn't you achieve the same look by never washing your car and leaving it out in the sun to fade?
