Not true. The "constant pressure" you're referring to can come from the tape, so long as someone holds the diffuser in place while someone else applies the tape to retain the diffuser's currently reinforced position. I've installed more than 10 of our diffusers this way and they all came out perfect. Let the epoxy dry for a 24 hour period and then remove the tape. You'll have no gaps whatsoever.

Are you saying apply epoxy I side the diffuser surface and tape I applied outside hr diffuser's surface?

I don't follow how if you are using epoxy, how you can remove the tape?

The way I read it, the tape is being applied on the outside of the diffuser and taped to the bumper with big large strips. What kind of tape do you use?

Remove all traces of tape, clean your rear bumper, apply epoxy on diffuser edges, have 2 people hold diffuser in place, and then apply tape on the outside. After 24 hours, remove masking tape.

Well, people were right. The heat from the exhaust seems to have melted my 3M tape. The diffuser is hanging on for life right now only on the rear cente portion. I guess I'll have to do the epoxy / masking tape technique. Sigh. What a pain. What type of epoxy should I be getting? I saw one at Home Depot designed for plastics...but it involves mixing of two solutions. There is anothe one (for wood) that is pre-mixed.

If I get access epoxy oozing out from the diffuser, what is the best way to clean it up?

Okay, I just got done with using Loctite Plastic Epoxy (7 min) from Home Depot, two 1" C-Clamps, and tons of heavy duty 3M masking tape. I'll post pictures of this install tomorrow along with the finished result. The install went pretty smoothly and it appears that the epoxy was holding up very well even without masking tape. We shall see tomorrow...

For what it's worth, I'm going to get my diffuser painted and molded to the bumper when I get it. It adds the look I want and keeps it sorta OEM looking.

IND did it right

Too late for Betalink K1. I already used Loctite 7 min epoxy for plastic. I've taped up the diffuser with heavy duty masking tape. I'll check on it tomorrow morning. This epoxy seemed to work and held the diffuser on the car while I was still taping the diffuser on. It's very strong stuff that hardens into tough plastic. I noticed one small gap in my installation because I failed to appli epoxy in one area. I think I may be able to fill this gap with some epoxy on a tooth pick and then applu 7 min of pressure by hand. We shall see.

JL Motorings VRS front lip is 100% legit. No one in the right mind should get the real deal for the VRS front lip. Now when it comes to diffusers, that's a different story.

Agree that JL VRS front lip fits great. JL's VRS Type II diffuser, doesn't fit as well as the front lip, but with effort, you can make it fit pretty decently:
