THAT would be improvement indeed .
Is that the european version of the stock filter? Where do you buy it and how much? I like to change my air filters every 10K miles, so will use that one between CBIs. Thanks man.

It's simply a paper version of the US filter - sans charcoal liner.

The european filter fill not fit US vehicles due to the extended nose on the top of the filter.

Thanks for the clarification Tom. Do you know if the AA filter has the same filtering ability as stock? That's my priority, not flow (which is good enough stock IMO). Just want a cheaper alternative, if any. Thanks again.

It depends on who you ask - a properly maintained oiled filter will be just as fine as a paper filter when pertaining to filtering abilities with the additional flow as a bonus.

As for cheaper, the paper filters are disposable units. The time you are on your 2nd replacement filter, you will already be passing the original cost of the Macht Schnell unit.

As per my conversation with both you and Jurrian, still looking for this Macht Schnell guy...

I don't recall any recent convo - but shoot an email or phone call to me if you have any questions.

Manufacturer-direct questions can go to www.machtschnell.com

Just kidding around Tom. Macht Schnell isn't a guy at all.

We talked about this a few months back, when I thought this company was named after a person. It's not.

No real difference, most actually see a decrease as they drive the car harder but again the performance and MPG gains are hard to notice.

Since you are after optimal filtration, I suggest the aFe Dry Filter which is a bit more restrictive than their oiled setup but provides the best filtration and easiest maintenance.
