Yeah, makes sense. I have found recently that using a waterless wash product with a fresh micro towel does a great job too. No glass cleaner used, just the waterless wash and some moderate force when wiping to really lift the crap off the glass. I’ve had good luck with Adam’s Polishes waterless wash as it has NO wax, ceramic, etc. in it at all. It’s just a polymer based and heavily lubricated cleaner. Leaves no "stuff" behind which it important for glass, IMO.
