What do current BMW owners think about the rear of the new X3?

Saw one the other day. Thought it was generally attractive except no tail pipes. Why no pipes on an internal combustion engine motor car?

I had a loaner for a few days. Drives nice. The 30i is extra torquey here. But not a fan of the exterior design at all, and not a fan of the interior either. It's a complicated mess. Just picked up a CPO '22 X3 30i and love it.

I now have a 2026 X3, my first X3. I am fine with it. I guess that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My wife drives a 2025 330i and she has been very happy with that car through several versions (years) of it. I guess that she talked me into giving up on my audi's.

I don’t like it. The lights are too squinty and the lower rear shoulders make it look fat. Kind of like a filled diaper.

I may be biased though and love my G01 LCI rear. Especially the taillights because it reminds me of the Halo energy swords

Not a fan of the recent BMW designs. If my wife decides to get rid of her '22 X3MC, it definitely won't be for a new X3.

I have been paying a lot of attention whenever I happen to be following a new X3. The reason is that I have bee seriously considering trading my X1 for the new X1.

I don't think its that. We aren't averse to change, but poor design needs to be called out for what it is. The new idrive sucks, and the rear end of many of the cars just doesn't flow. To name a few more - m5 (the diffuser is flat out gaudy), XM (absolute yuck), x2 (similar square, questionable look).

On the interior side, every single model has taken a down grade in design or is just about to.

Its fine to be a fan boy when they get it right, but can you sit here and tell us that you love the direction that bmw design is moving in, and the new interiors exude high quality materials and ease of use/functionality?
