The shop told me it was rod bearings. Someone else also posted that if there was a hole in the block it had to be rod bearings. I'm not an expert but at this point it doesn't matter, still had to replace the engine.

Changing the headers can void warranty, it's a gray area. I put the JCR titanium race pipe on, it is very loud and sounds amazing. Might go back to center bypass only depending on how long I can handle the loudness. I'd love to have a Dundon headers/exhaust setup, but don't want to chance it with the warranty and it's like $12k. Porsche just replaced my engine about 1k miles ago under warranty which was a $40k job (prior to me buying the car).
