Haha...... Actually found it on Amazon for $16.98. Now, to my other questions. Can this be used with the OEM oil and do you just replace one quart of oil with it?

Edit: Just saw that the can is .317 quart, so I assume just replace that amount of oil with it or just add it to the full oil amount?

It's an additive, just add to your oil, just don't overfill.

Miles: 89k miles
Oil Changes: according to records provided when purchased, every 10k as recommended by BMW of Sarasota. Car was previously a 1 owner car, bought and traded to the same dealership, all maintenance done by BMW of Sarasota.
Tracked: Yes. Car came with braided steel brake lines and track pads with RE71R tires.. pretty safe to assume it was tracked. Replaced with VAC bearings and I've been tracking it since. Zero issues and clean reports so far.

Get it!

Yeah I just put 9L of 10w60 in, and 1 can of Molyslip. Make sure the shake the can well, most of the moly is at the bottom of the can after it's been sitting.

Oil level always ends up perfect. Also, make sure you're only adding it when you know you'll be able to drive the car right after. Otherwise it may all end up at the bottom of the oil pan.

Take apart any motor which has Molyslip, and it's on every surface.

I'm assuming you've use this stuff while under warranty? I've heard great things about Molyslip and similar additives like Slick 50 and would like to try it.

I've still got BMW coverage and a Fidelity warranty lined up so I'm concerned that by being proactive with an additive now it may give them a reason to deny an engine-based claim later since the MS is visible. It'd be silly on their part, but I'm sure they look for any reason. Any insight?

Seriously though, I can't think it was entirely due to freq of oil change. I haven't read the other posts too closely, as this whole RB craze gets a bit much, but how many people have used other additives like the Liqui Moly?

I'm sure others let their cars warm up the same as me, so I can't think of any other substantial variables... Aside from the obvious FI.

I know to stay away from anything that uses PTFE (teflon) in their additives. Slick 50 is one of them and had a class action lawsuit over it.

I'm the 2nd owner of my M3, 1st owner I never met, personally. After replacing bearings, it appears he never tracked the car and did the proper warm ups. Bearings were in really good shape. Showed some signs of early wear, but nothing like those I've seen on this forum.

Another fellow Seattle M3 owner (andrewmega, posted above me) had his done the day before me, same shop, his car less miles than mine (57K), and his were awful (linked below) -

I have no idea if my bearings are good or bad, I suspect they're sowhere in the middle for 118,000 miles. The worst ones are shown, I've somehow lost the pic with all shells.

I bought this car as my track day toy at 117,000 miles, the previous owner took care to warm it up properly, and he tracked it occasionally. The car has been serviced every year.
