You can definitely shed a lot of weight that way, but that crosses the line into full-blown track car at that point. The first 200 lbs. are easy to drop without affecting the dual-duty nature of the car. The next 50 are dicey. After that, it's street prowess and practicality begin to fall off a cliff.

Someone who knows what they're doing can find a way to remove 8-10 lbs. from the front subframe without affecting its rigidity. I suspect you'll see more about this on the forums in the near future.

On the engine, yes: A motor with lighter components (pistons and rods) plus a lighter crank can save a very modest amount of weight. Not significant in and of itself, but with cowl filters and subframe work, you're looking at around 30 lbs. off the nose of the car, which is nice.

Yea made it out of 3/4" foam board and carpet so it's pretty light and easily reversible. Also easy to modify when the 4pt cage goes in
