Looks like one of those pics has a belt driven accessory pump on it, is it an oil pump for a dry sump kit? Assuming that is for the big boy 1000hp kit.

We have seen multiple cases of people blowing engines and then blaming others. Like the idiot with the 650 kit doing pulls on 87 octane, etc etc etc. Perhaps you would not complain to ESS but most people are happy to lie and cheat to save themselves the consequences of their own stupidity. |

That guy was trying to win a Darwin Award... the limits of the stock rods are pretty well understood, he just wanted to do it anyway

Not yet, pricing will be announced closer to release. We'll start a separate thread when ready.

Not yet. Been chomping at the bit to get a firm date but ESS won't release until it's perfect.

I think you are about right when it comes to pricing. I have a 625 installed already and for me to spend ~4k is something I won't do. Other people might disagree but I can spend that on something else for car. I am even still on the stock x-pipe.

Get a catless X-pipe on there pronto, leaving a lot of power on the table.

Any predictions on when boost curves, compressor maps, and dyno graphs will be available? Vortech has a bigger supercharger that fits the existing bracket so an improvement in boost curve or compressor efficiency would be required to be an upgrade to the existing kits.

Seems like a Camaro guy is getting good results with the new ess supercharger. Can't wait to see what it does for the M3.

One of the problems with doing so on the S65 is the relatively weak connecting rod. ESS and VFE and AA have found a safe limit. Add more torque and people may complain about the hole in the block.

It would be nice to have the same ESS 650 kit but lighter. I don't feel I need more power, but shaving weight for the same power will be excellent results as well.

I don't have an M3, but I wanted to chime in that the G1 is very light and quite compact. Time will tell as to how well it holds up. It does have chatter at idle, I'm hoping it will mellow out as it breaks in, but I've heard worse.
Does anyone know anyone running one yet? I'm looking for someone to compare notes with. |
