Have you driven a Z06? Sure the ZR1 is better but the Z06 is simply fantastic (other than the interior) and is miles better than anything in the RS5/M3/C63 range of cars in terms of pure performance. The Z06 is far from a waste of time... especially for the price. I personally would choose an M3 but only because the Z06 is too much of a compromise as a daily car.

It's like going from champagne to pabst blue ribbon. You can get shit faced with either one, and one will be cheaper than the other, but not as pleasant.

My best friend has a Z1 and a Z6 as well as a 1959 Stingray. We took a tip to Bowling Green to visit the Corvette factory and museum this past May.
I let him drive my M3 (we shared he driving for the 2K KM roundtrip) he loved driving my ///M3 said so several times with a smile on his face "love this car" he especially loved the paddle shifter. Next year I shall try out his cars when I visit him on the west coast BTW. I had no idea the Corvette is mostly hand build as became clear when we took the 3.5 mile VIP factory tour ... I recommend that factory tour highly. Our tour guide pointed out there will be a track across on the other side of the express way next year ... I might go back down to check that out Below is an image of the proposed track layout for 2013 across the factory and museum

a Zo6 is a great car, i could see someone going from a m3 to one. I have never driven a m3 before, but i would guess it feels more luxurious then a vette. The vette gives up any luxury for pure performance and fun. not to mention a lot easier and cheaper to mod.

Funny you mention that. I did speak with Jason. They built the shortblock. Xtreme Motorsports in AZ actually built the car. I have a dialogue going with both of them now. Please PM me what you have heard about the dealer. Thanks.

OP go drive one and you will forget about the e90 M3 very quickly. For a daily it would be a toss up really depending on your needs, but as a weekend/fun car you will be hard to find a better bargain. With the aforementioned modifications this car should be pushing a huge amount of power. |

Almost as douchey as your comment in the FWD Audi thread, kicking a man when he's already down. Quote:
