I've done both Euro Delivery and PCD with the car. They're fun in many ways unique to each. For the PCD, you'll arrive in the morning and your car will not be on display out front. You'll sit for a short safety class and introductions, then they will take you out back to a car similar to what you've ordered. You and your partner (hopefully you are taking someone with you) will switch off doing maneuvers on their track. What's fun is that the other new drivers will often have X's or 5'ers whatever, and their vehicles will take longer distance to do the "stop" and the "stop and turn" braking strips. The M3 stops in like 2/3 the distance. LOL. Anyhow, you'll spend the morning slamming around the course and ride with an instructor. Then, for our group, they put us in X5's and we followed them down the road a bit for the factory tour and gift shop. Afterwards, we came back to the Performance Centre and had lunch, then drove the X5's on their off-road course. Every bit of this should be filmed! The off-road course is a blast, and I wish that I'd taken a GoPro with suction-cup and had stuck it on the outside of the X5. Get video of yourself up on the two-wheel hill, where you are wobbling side-to-side (that's your partner, who should have driven ahead of you in the queue and is shooting back at you). Then you bring the X's back to parking lot, and they walk you through the rear to front of the building. You'll see your new car out the front door, all sparkly and pretty. That's when you want to have your partner running the video, so you can get your reaction. Take tons of pictures because it'll never be as so clean as right then and there. Afterwards, we drove my car back to the factory; there's a spot on the end of a sidewalk that we previously drove the X5's on; at that spot you can pull up on the sidewalk and shoot pictures of the car with the building and flags in the background, and the fountains in the background. Nobody told us to stop; and other people came up behind us and parked their new cars on the same spot to do photographs. It's a real good picture-spot. Have fun! - V .

Everything seems to happen very fast at the Welt when you get your car. They put your name on the screen and you go find the representative, then you walk down the Staircase of Joy, and see your car spinning on the disk -- it's amazing. They will show you features of your car and take an official photograph or two of you -- just ask. They'll give you those pictures before you drive off on your Victory Lap. I took two Victory Laps. I didn't have a GoProH2 back then (slaps head); if you can remember to do it, toss your GoPro up on the side rail so that you can video yourself doing one of the Victory Laps. You can also video going down the ramp. I think that's the only real photograph/video that I didn't get on the Euro Delivery that was important -- the Victory Lap. You'll have a blast -- take advantage of everything they offer, and enjoy the experience! - V .

I just ordered a Santorini Blue car as well and I haven't seen it in person either. Mine won't be here for a couple months. You have to post pictures while you're there!

Hehehe... I will get them up as soon as I can! Have been going nuts over here, not much downtime. Just got home from dinner and saw a frozen fire orange E92 M3 (not sure if it was factory, and couldn't get a shot off of it) and a frozen brownish E60 5er. Saw a factory test mule right outside of my hotel last night. Just crazy here carwise...

Well... I'm back in the US! Having never seen Santorini Blue in person, I was very apprehensive and worried that I may have made a $5,000.00 mistake... Those of you that have seen this color in person will surely agree that pictures do it no justice whatsoever. The paint literally stopped me in my tracks when I saw it for the first time, and I couldn't take my eyes off of it.
I am going to try and process the pics and do a write up within the next few days. Here are some pics from my Instagram feed which do the color absolutely no justice, the closest color rendering can be seen on the shot of my Canon 5D's screen. The iPhone camera makes the color appear much darker and saturated than it actually is. Mmmm, dat orange peel...
