Just received email notification of the vessel that my car is on and other various notes about what documentation I will receive as well as what I need to email to BMWNA.
For East coast deliveries, which is what mine is under for Nebraska, go to https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage and enter the last 7 digits of your VIN in "Cargo ID." Then on the next page, you should be able to click on "voyage number" highlighted in red. That will take you to a page with the vessel's country of origin and scheduled stops/dates. Reference this post for more details. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...ghlight=vessel So pumped for this. It's like the one thing that's keeping me happy while I'm freezing my ass off in Afghanistan, lol.

Also, in the email I received, it said to email BMWNA my "requested delivery date." Does that mean that they will actually hold my vehicle at the port until whatever date I say? If so, that's great news considering I'm not exactly sure when I'm going to be home. But...
Two big concerns:

Congrats, dude! This wait is killer. Great choice on your options. For wheels, check out MORR down in Miami & talk to Andy. I just ordered my second set from them and am STOKED! Nobody does whees like them.

Congrats and thanks for your service. I am active duty as well.
I was one of the owners that really felt my Z4MC was a better car. I left the BMW dealer kinda disappointed because the look of the M3 stock (at least for me) looked really bad and I thought with work it would look nice. Well its been about 2 months and I have to say I have gotten use to the M3. When I look at a stock Z4MC I see it aging, although I had a modified Z4MC. The power I like and the V8. The interior of the M3 is light years ahead of the Z4MC. So we both made a good choice. I am still looking at the Lotus Evora supercharged though (E92 M3 killer)...

I contacted BMW NA and they said that they will NOT hold the car there for me to coincide with my return to the US. I still gave them my requested delivery date, althought it's most likely irrelevant.
My car just got to the East coast a couple of days ago, so it is now at the VDP I believe. They said it will be there for a MAX of six weeks. I'll update when I know more.

Thanks, everyone! Just got an email from the manager at my dealer and the M3 is in!
But waaaaaay to early, haha. Just dropped insurance on it and waiting on my buddy to get it registered for me. I'll see if he can give me some teaser pics in the meantime. Ecstatic right now!
