No new mods for the E92 (for now), rather, I've just been taking some time to make some new memories with her. I've gotten a chance to get out to the mountains twice, and man what an incredible machine.
Here are some captures from my latest outing. Going to soften up the KW's 3-ways a bit, they are certainly compliant, but harsh. The more I drive the car, the more I fall in love with the exhaust note. At this point, it might be a tough pill to swallow by taming it down. Theres a smile on my face everytime I downshift into a corner! The Eisenmann Race paired with the catless X-pipe is such a race car tone, quite high pitched for a stainless system. Car is performing flawlessly, and currently sits at 18,500 miles after a year of ownership. Also, on Friday mornings there is a small gathering called Good Vibes Breaksfast club. I've been trying my best to atleast get one of the cars out each week, it is really a great assortment of cars that meet at the top at Newcombs Ranch. Another treat is the photographers that set up for rollers on the way up, here is a nice one they caught of the E92. Hopefully new mods on the way soon! |

We've got a good update today.
The other day, I was able to at last score an OEM GTS Front Splitter setup. This has been a grail item I've been trying to source since I picked up the car. Especially after receiving, and installing the OE GTS rear wing, I was dying to get the front end to match with OE aero. The story is a funny full circle moment. I traced back to the last transacted one on the forums, which wasn't too long ago. Turns out that splitter lived on my good friends car for a few short miles before he sold the car. The new owner, decided to remove the splitter after purchasing the car. I traced down who purchased the splitter, and it ended up being a good friend of mine here in SoCal. I reached out and confirmed he in fact had been storing it and ultimately was going to install it on the car in a few weeks. With much persuasion, he agreed to sell it to me and let it live on my build. Love this community, and the great friends I've made along the way. So I'm happy to check this off the M3 bucketlist, an E92 with full OEM GTS aero. Looking forward to installing it in about 2-3 weeks. Hopefully we can pick up a few more special pieces before my slot at the shop comes available. |

Another small update. While the Eisenmann exhaust paired with the MS X-Pipe is probably the one of the best sounds I've ever heard on this car, I have super sensitive ears and after a while, it does flare up my tinnitus quite a bit.
I picked up an Akrapovic Evo to pair with the MS test pipe for now, until a GT4 X-pipe comes up I can pair it with. If that doesn't somehow pan out in due time, I will be getting a custom titanium X-Pipe fabricated by a local guy here that does amazing work. Excited to get this on the car, hopefully in two weeks when the GTS Splitter and Akra go on, a few more goodies have arrived! Happy Fathers Day! |

Yesterday was exhaust install day. Tackled getting the Eisenmann Race off of the car, and mounting up the Akra rear section with titanium tips.
The reduction in volume will definitely take some getting used to, but I am overall super happy with the switch. I think if my ears weren't as sensitive as they are, I would have maybe stuck with the Eisenmann Race, as it is an incredible tone for these cars, but this allows me to drive the car for longer durations of time. Also, you can not beat the look and finish of these Akra exhausts, just pure art. So happy with how the car is sitting... I've tried to keep everything at the utmost quality. Anxiously awaiting the 5th of July to get this OEM GTS front splitter on. After that we will be tackling a set of proper seats, and plenum. Even now though, I just couldn't be happier with the car. Here is the Eisenmann Race ready for a new owner. Basically new, 250 miles on it. If any SoCal residents want a great deal on a fresh Race, I'll be posting it FS. Thanks for all the interactions and impressions of the car, I truly appreciate and look forward on continuing to update the thread. |

I think the gt4 or custom x pipe will help it a lot. I truly loved the unique tone of the Akra but it just was still too quiet for me even with my challenge sport x pipe. It sure was a beautiful exhaust though and I think it’s one of the only exhausts that makes the car look better with no diffuser. I couldn’t stand my eisenmann look until I got the diffuser on to hide the bulky muffler.
Sorry to hear about the tinnitus. This should hopefully not be an issue for you now. |

Yeah, tinnitus really sucks. It’s kept me away from the track for years. Luckily I’ve acclimated to it and it’s a lot easier to deal with nowadays. Protect your ears people, I raced motorcycles since I was 7 years old, and as a family we took it very seriously. By about 19 years old, my ears were shot. |

Wow, just stumbled upon this thread, that is a stunning E92, but also E36. I wish mine had even half the mods yours does. I've had mine since 2013, and have been going back and forth about going all out on it, or get rid of it. Just not enough time nowadays unfortunately.
Let's see them together!
