Empty slots are for wrench, wheel lock key and emergency sunroof crank.

I like the fire extinguisher idea. How do you secure it?

Or supercars. I have always carried one in each of my cars and used them twice for other emergencies. One was for an RV on a drive on beach that burned to a crisp but nobody hurt. The other was at work for a fire in one of my roasters.

Well lovely. Apparently these tools are missing from all 2011 BMW toolkits. Another cost cutting measure?

I raised the issue with my dealer, and they are providing them to me gratis. Overall cost is under $10. I hope the BMW stockholders enjoy it.

Anyone got the part # for that trunk panel with the small storage compartment in post #25? Mine is just flat with a small plastic insert.

That comes with the Enhanced Premium Sound package, I believe. The door is actually for the CD player location, though I do not have one in mine. You could convert it to a storage compartment, though. There are lots of different part numbers for these panels - you should have your dealer parts guy help find the right one.

Mine has the standard extinguisher bracket mounted to the top of the audio enclosure, as shown in the photo.

I don't know the answer, because I have an '08, too. It's where the CD player would go, so the part should be related to this dealer-installed option.
