video is awesome! I think these would look great on a black car, or a red car that needs a bit of contrast.

But really they probably look awesome no matter the car lol

You're talking to an owner that has had the car a lot longer than you.

By the looks of this it has been done before years ago. This is nothing new.

There is a guy running around with clear LCI taillight on the E92 M3 platform. Looks crazy on a white car.

Totally agreed, my car is actually Alpine white so lets see how "any car" gets pulled off lol. I hope someone with a darker car gets a set done so we can see the contrast as stated. I personally think a space gray car would look insane with them. Kind of a sinister look

Thank you! I'm glad Republic put in all this hard work for me, it's an experimental set and takes a lot of time and precision to cut these open and seal them back up and have them in my opinion look as clean as stock.

Shouts out to Chris!

If you had it a lot longer it's probably Pre-LCI as my car is the first year that they came with them. Explains why you aren't familiar with them

Regardless this mod has never been posted on this forum so therefore it's new, if you think otherwise post a link vs being a little negative Nancy and saying things you have no proof of. Example saying you had your car longer than me when you indeed have no idea how long I've had my car.

Peace bro, keep it cool

Oh no don't tempt me! I've been thinking of a light tint on my tails to go with my CF and black theme but this would look amazing on my car lol.

Can't wait to see them on your white, it will look great for sure!

Lol I'm sorry for the temptation, totally agree, it would look absolutely amazing on your car. I think you'd probably find reasons to stare at your car with this expression ! I know I would haha.

So these are LCI lights with a light coat of VHT nightshades applied? I'm not trying to bash your work because I like the look but it doesnt seem very custom/creative to me.

I'm not the one who did the work. The work was done at Republic wraps in Marina Del Rey, Please contact Chris if you have questions on how this mod was applied. He is very cool and would gladly explain how this is done. (He let me know if anyone asked he would be glad to share, he just warned everyone that even after doing over 500 sets of lights this was a very difficult task and would advise you buying a set of damaged tail lights from ebay to practice on vs taking the change of ruining your personal lights) I know it's most definitely more work than just using a tint spray. He had to individually take out every single LED and carefully replace them in the top light section to achieve this look at keep everything functional. So please give him a call or shoot him an email. Thanks

Oh so he tinted the INSIDE of the lights! I thought about doing that but the amount of work involved seemed too much for the result. Cool stuff

Yes that is correct sir! Yeah it's definitely a lot of work. He told me even with his experience it took him 4.5 hours just cutting the lights open alone. I give him all the credit in the world because I would never have enough patience or the skill to pull it off. Super happy with the results once I get them on the car I think the detail is really going shine through
