I drive my car with a similar battery year-round but it never goes out in salt, so it is self-limiting in that regard - very rarely goes out under 20f or so and at home the garage is heated. You have to evaluate your use case for yourself rather than expect a vendor to cover all situations with a blanket recommendation - shifting that responsiblity to the vendor is dumb.
I drive my car a lot, 10000 miles per year last couple of years, and I never give the battery a second thought now. Obviously because I want to keep the underside un-rusted it's not something I depend on to be all-weather all the time, but that's why I have a pickup with a big lead acid battery in it (which, as it happens, also died after 4 years in service - It's almost like modern cars are just all ate up with parasitic draw no matter how well-designed they are). If the Voltphreaks ever dies, I'll likely get one of these for the better-integrated oem-style case. And I wouldn't hesitate to use the 30aH they offer - it has similar specs to the 7lb-ish with mount battery I have now, which has performed great and is a 34aH equivalent or so. My car is a low-option car, so a higher-spec car might want the 40aH or even the 60, but I think the 30 would likely be just fine in my car based on my experience with the Voltphreaks

Cool to see another option in the LW battery market.
One comment that I will reiterate for those who think it's crazy to pay this much for a battery - Please let me know what else you can do to the car that saves 50 lbs for less (absent deleting interior panels or other parts). It's one of the best bang-for-buck weight loss modifications.

I can say now after having this battery in my car for over a year. It's worth it. Get one.

This is neat that antigravity is offering more sizes and make it drop in solution. Years ago I spoke with antigravity and I designed my own solution. Using an ATX-30rs
Antigravity ATX-30rs https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1503057 Still works well and over same restart tech. There are other options from antigravity it self.

Seriously. I'd love to drop more weight but 800 bones is painful!

I noticed on the f80 install guide it says a new IBS cable is required. Is that also needed for e90 m3? https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1809127 |

Hey Tom or Kevin, where are these made now? I'm reading they used to be made in the USA but shifted "overseas" recently. Any change in quality from that move? I fear the same issues we saw with Optima and others after they moved. Can you PM the price shipped for the H6-60-RS to 94598?
