I highly recommend Autometric collision in Royal Oak. I took my Audi there based on a couple recommendations and a glowing article about them in a car mag. I'm so glad I did. They did fantastic work and helped fight with the insurance company to make sure that my car got fixed right.

Thats sucks! 2 M's down! Hopefully insurance totals it out. I wouldnt want a car back after its been hit like that.

Yeah I am not sure what will happen but after looking at the pictures some more I am feeling that it will not total out. I would hate to see that happen, but part of me would like to just get another one instead. I may post for sale if and after it is fixed for a good price for a quick sale.

Take it to Motorwerks in Commerce TWP. Have "Tiny" do your repairs and have Mike paint. They are a great team and they stole Tiny from the place that Erhard uses for their body work, so he has all of the certifications for the E9X platforms and the E93 M3's.

I would feel the same way... If you’re not sure where to bring it and the insurance decides to fix I would suggest iND in IL. That way you’ll be sure about paint match and quality of work. Not sure if they repair these types of accidents but it’s worth a try.

Make sure there is no frame damage. If the repair bill is upwards of $20k i'd try to argue to get the car totaled.

First off glad you weren't hurt...really looks actually pretty minor and easily repaired. Yes if the rocker panel is crushed they may total it..if the value of the car is in the $15k range.

This can be fixed like new...

If it's not, the car just took a $5,000 hit on it's value even if it's repaired "perfectly".

It's sad, but clean CarFax reports are king now-a-days.

The good news is; if it is totaled, you can buy the pick of the litter used M3s right now. Stock or Supercharged, your choice!

But glad you're ok. I got into a terrible accident last year in my M and it was declared a total wreck. And if you search the forum for posts in my name I did put up some pics of the accident. If you look at them you'll feel much better (and luckier!)

Hopefully they declare it a total wreck and you can hop into a new ride! Things always happen for a reason, don't sweat it
