Awesome! So, unlike other posts that I have read regarding the 335 and M3, it appears that the car is worth buying! I don't have any aftermarket on my 335 so hopefully I am completely blown away!!

I paid South Bay to Courtesy Deliver the car from NH. It was shipped directly from Germany to the west coast.

It's definitely growing on me. Aside from putting 160 miles on it last night, I haven't had much time in her. I just got back from work right now, I must give her that first wash. (it wsn't done at PDI. (she's a virgin))

for starters, the immediate throttle response of the M3 is the first thing that struck me. Power does not ween in the M3 after 6k rpm, as it does in the 335. The connectivity to the road, coupled with the superior brake response give an overall more fulfilling driving experience. ...more impressions to come.

Hey I noticed you got the premium sound system. How does it compare to the Logic7 in your 335i? Would you spend $1,900 again to buy it?
Sorry, I know this will sound crazy, but I haven't even listened to the radio yet. I'm still absorbing how the motor and tranny sounds and feels through the whole rpm range before I pollute the local airwaves...

Congrats OC!

Happy for you.

I've had a similar project idea on weight reduction. 200lbs is aggressive. I was thinking more in the lines of 100lbs. What do you have on your list?

Swamp and I argued for this for 15 pages on a thread that was eventually shut down. The low end torque must indeed be at the wheels thanks to gearing. I will experience this for myself tomorrow!

Where are the holes in you bumper? Didn't they drill into the bumper to mount the front plate holder?

This is the best pic of this interior I've seen to date. I really think this is the combo I will get with SSII exterior. I would really appreciate it if you could post pics of the whole front from the middle of the rear seat. I think the thread for this interior needs to be more robust, lets see as many pics as possible. Thanks in advance.

Couple questions... I always specify to not install the front plate and on 1 occasion it was installed on a Lexus I owned. It was drilled into the bumper on that car, leaving holes. On other cars, the bracket attached from beneath the bumber and did not leave visisble holes - is this how your M3 was? I am concerned just in case the dealer accidentally installs it, not as I requested. Secondly - was your car delivered through Port Hueneme, Oxnard - on the Phoenix Leader? My car was also on the recent shipment (hit port on 3/24?) and it is not delivered yet to the dealer center. Thanks and congrats as well.

+1 i sent my CA like 2 emails already about not washing the car and not drilling front bumper. she said it's taken care of, but i will remind her again once the car arrives at port

sounds like his car was delivered to oxnard

Sorry about the lack of a thorough review. Between work and some personal things I haven't had much time recently. When I have an hour or so to sit down in front of the computer, I will do so. Here is a quick down load from today...more to come.

The U.S. spec cars come with a plastic frame that must be drilled into the bumper. I made sure the dealer didn't drill or wash the car.

Yes, my car was on the Phoenix Leader along with NavNurs' as well...I would expect it should be there soon, how far is your dealer from Oxnard?
