I am now interested in switching over from my current tune also, if this corrects the issue. I have the DCT tune already so it shouldn't hurt...

Pre-detonation on higher gears up to 2500 rpm

They are speaking about the car switching from part throttle to full throttle hesitation. Not det

I requested access to the test group and have received an updated file with the initial revisions he has made. I will be loading it tomorrow and testing it this weekend. I will get some logs also.

Good thread here as I'm getting a BW xpipe resonated with hfc installed tomorrow, I'll be flashing the alpine stage 2 tune on it as well. I'll give my feed back. Also Alex If you need to do some test with a car with bw xpipe I'm local to LA I'm free this coming Thursday.

I also have a melody by Alex, specifically stage2 98octane. This weekend I will try in 3rd and 4th gear to accelerate from less than 2500rpm since at the moment I have not been able to detect this loss the power in this rpm range.

My exhaust is Akrapavic EVO line, in addition to mach schnell pulley kit and technocraft air intake, and if a help is necessary I offer myself to do tests in case someone also has this configuration

Today I have tested it, and I have not been able to detect that drop in rpm.

Thats because you don't have a forwardly located X, not sure why you'd think you would be affected.

Excellent effin step-up by Alex. Most tuners for this platform would not give 2 pairs of pennies, though I'm not sure why so many people bought the BW x-pipe without the associated tune by Epic.

Yes it has been documented, the Epic tune that is combo' d with the BW xpipe does not have this issue. The tune was designed around the xpipe.

Yes it has been documented, the Epic tune that is combo' d with the BW xpipe does not have this issue. The tune was designed around the xpipe.

I bought the xpipe preowned and the previous owner put magnaflow hfc.

Side note:

Anyone local in SoCal that can help me flash my stage 2?

I loaded the new file Friday, but only got to do a few short drives. So far this weekend it has been raining a lot and I haven't been able to do as much testing as I wanted to.

From my brief attempts, it did feel better, might still be a little blip, but not nearly as noticeable as before. I am hoping to get some logs so I can see it in more detail.

The dongle lights up and blinks green on and off so it's working but for some reason the ams software (VMware windows) can't see it. I wonder how much a new dongle is gonna be? I reached out to Alex just waiting for his reply.

So update: I somehow got this to work so I'm flashed with stage 2 will try it out later this afternoon. I think I'm gonna buy a oc laptop just for tuning purposes so I don't have to deal with virtual machines.

I know the OP said he was wearing a BW xpipe, although by wearing an Alex tune I thought he might be affected as well.

It is also true that when carrying akra evo line Alex told me to comment on it when ordering the map since he has one tuned for akra evo line. I just wanted to contribute a little bit to this as well as I think Alex is doing a spectacular job.

It's not really helping and doesn't apply to this scenario. There are other setups without this issue. This thread is for a specific set of mods.

Perhaps you can contribute to the main thread on Alpine Tunes, that way this stays on topic.

I was on Etuner Map and one of my buddy purchased alpine mss tune from alex 2 weeks back and he was enjoying the bubbles and flame of this map.

With tht, i have also purchased the tune few days back and im waiting for the kit to arrive

I m writing to say my buddy do not have this issues so far but could it be octane98 gas do not face such issues? Anyway Alex is good in customer service; he answer all questions within hours on the same day.

Im on decat stock Xpipe with straight through on my MPE

Cant wait for the tune to happen
