Hey Dunky, you wanna post the list of cars you have coming to this event? I know there will be a couple of really FAST IS-F's and one slow M3. What else is coming out to play.

Well that was a great day!Theweather worked out good with it only being a bit damp 1st thing in the morning and it was totally dry after a couple of sessions. There ended up being quite the eclectic collection of cars with everything from a R8 to a few JCW Minis and quite a few pumped up Corvettes but only 2 BMW's,so where the heck were they?.There were 2 IS-Fs that seemed to spend every minute on the track that was availible to them and yes one was FBTO.They were both going quite well and were not as out of place as the media reports would have you believe. We ran an open session after about 2.30 till 5.00 as things were running very smoothly and some people had had more than enough track time by then.A big thanks have to go out to Durham BMW for supplying the great food for lunch and the great instructors that helped out.The next one is July 17th.

Yes and there will be a really cool video of myself in my car also being filmed by my buddy in his C5 racecar. We kept alternating position to get good video on both cameras. There might have been a little bit of sideways driving in that videoLook for it here,

I use MDM on the track, traction control doesnt kick in too much because the tires are pretty warm and therefore they stick. BUT in my honest opinion, and this may sound fucked up, but on the street; I think MDM sucks because traction kicks in way too much!

Your brake temps will be much higher as the MDM will be applying individual wheel brakes in order to try to control the yaw angle while starting to slide. You will be slower as the tires will not be able to approach the slip angles that will produce the highest cornering load. It takes a lot of the fun away as it does its job!Sort of like being with a good looking girl that wants no part of you on a date |
