If you do end up purchasing the car through Park Place, unlike a private sale, they will try to make you pay their ridiculous Administration and Doc Fees which is nothing more than the cost of them doing business. You should not have to pay this and can be negotiated out of the final price. Use this as a bargaining tool. Good luck, it looks like a clean, well cared for M3 with low miles and nicely optioned.

Remember $49K is priced this high because it gives the seller room to maneuver downwards. I think $44k is actually maybe a tad low, I wouldn't go above $46-47K though if its everything you want including the color.

I had no issue selling my 2011 with non C/F roof and manual. In fact I had people who were actually looking for the sunroof and a manual.

The car you guys listed at $44k had speed cloth and no nav. The OPs car he is looking at has leather, enhanced premium sound and nav. Definitely worth a couple of k more on resell.

I like heated seats, too, that's not the problem. Try to get that as a separate option if you can. The problem with the winter package is they also put two big zits on your front bumper, making the car uglier. That would be acceptable if they were functional, but all they do is splooge all over hood every time you turn the windshield wipers on.

Moonroof is not even about the extra 50lbs or whatever that it adds, the carbon roof is a pretty distinctive feature of M cars. If you're never planning on tracking the car, you'd be better off getting a 335i, or if you really want the M badge, get the new M4/M3 when they start hitting used lots.

Thumbs up. I realize the CF roof is preferred by most but I will not track this car. Also in Seattle having some extra light come in is nice. It's cold and dark and damp from Nov to March.

Also for me the 6 speed is a must. My e36 and e46 both had, have manual and i love them. Rowing the gears is how I roll. Ha.

Thanks again. Hoping to see it in person tomorrow. I now realize 44k might be a bit low for this car. Cheers.

If it's in good shape I would say $46-47. It's hard to find M3's in the Northwest, especially comp pack manuals. Good luck!

Don't worry, 99.9%of M3 owners don't track their car.

went and checked it out. It's a nice car but one weird thing it's from Alaska on consignment? I guess the market up there is not good so they shipped it to SEA.

And they priced my e46 at $8K. (10K - 2K for cosmetic repairs). Yea right. This place is a high end exotic lot so I should ave been better prepared for the "low ball". It has 92K miles with curb rash on the wheels and the driver seat is pretty worn--armrest, console cover.

I have not responded to that email with the pricing.

I feel fixing my e46 on my own and selling by owner and asking them what their best price is on the E92. The seller had a trickle charger system installed for winter storage.

25,000 miles and the interior is spotless. The car was wet so I could not do a great exterior analysis.

Update: The car sold in about a week. I won't know what it went for but one thing I learned is that quality E92s are commanding a premium price. If anything it feels like prices are up $1-$2K since I started looking 8 months ago!!

You're right, and when you find a good one grab it, my dad always said if it's the one you want with the colour/ options you want, don't quibble about a few dollars just get it and enjoy it..... "Cry once and enjoy it forever"

Good luck on your search

Prices did fall after m4 launch but not as much as I thought. i don't think the m4 was accepted by the general public and journalists too well so that might have something to do with e9x prices holding up well. Given time it will depreciate but for now it's still going strong.
Just bought a 30k mile 2011 E90 with competition package and all options for $42k from a dealer in NJ. Apparently I'm dreaming

^^^ I agree. If you search long and hard enough, you can always find a better deal. If its the car you want and you are satisfied with the price then jump on it.

you have to realize that local markets play a role in pricing. There are going to be a lot more M3s in Cali or AZ than in WI, for example. Thus pricing in CA or AZ is going to be less than WI.

That isn't necessarily true. There's a lot of M3s but there's also a lot of demand. Higher salaries and property prices means more people willing sink money into a pricey car vs real estate. Also, lack of snow and winter weather means the cars are in better condition for longer which drives price up as well.

Typically you will see M3 prices lower on the east coast and midwest in places that see snow and winter weather.
