Chased those issues for years and gave up decided to go with faster platforms, and came back to a stock e92 and like it 10x better than when it was supercharged (ESS 650 with 5 gallon water/ice tank).
While I understand there are many modern cars out there that are faster, for a weekend fun car (not track car) a SC'd E9x is hard to beat. I agree you, part of the "E9x experience" is lost without the induction noise.

I just took her out for the first time this year and ripped around for a bit. It is nowhere close to a modded 911 turbo or 720s, however it is a very fast car for the street.

My car has all of the supporting mods (Ohlins, BBK, exhaust, etc) which i feel should be done in conjunction with a SC. The list of comparable cars under $50k in very short.

I loved your E92 set up and watch the YT videos every so often, they get me excited to go drive mine. Your 991 turbo S is ridiculous! It is very clear you needed a faster car to satisfy your itch..

When I need to go faster than my car can provide I take out my Aprilia...

Nobody buys an E92 M3 to be hyper fast!!!
If you do... we'll wrong platform lol.
The car is quick!
It can be decently fast with a SC kit snd supporting mods.
The speeds are more then plenty considering roads, etc...
It is in my opinion at the perfect level of usable speed!

There will always be faster!

Name a better balanced car under $50k....

M3 E93
Mazda Miata

That's about it.

Opportunity is there to be running 265s up front.

I'm thinking same!
Debating on suspension setup at the moment.

Than you got the Future Classic.
The problem might be unique to my brakes, however worth checking yours.

When using the FC conical set screw it makes the spacer fit nicely. However, the diameter of the treaded part is smaller than the hub, so the hub rocks back and forth agains that threaded portion. The oem set screw the conical part sets the hub so it can't move.

After playing with this in my garage, I decided that I don't like that play and reinstalled the oem set screw and used the FC 10mm spacer without their screw. Then I tried Turner and H&R and I liked them all.

Excited for that!

Like above, a SC'd M3 weekend car is hard to beat.

There will always be a faster car on the road, but the enjoyment and true connection to the machine is something you can't replace.

Exactly!!!!
Pn;ly drawback is the breaks are being made from manufacture and 60-90 day turn around time... i think I have around 30-45 days left
so all will be done except breaks for now.

There's really no rush, especially if your stock brakes are still good.

I have yet to do a BBK on mine and find that the OEM rotors + good pads are enough for me.

Glad to see that even owning a 720S, the E9X M3 is still something to be excited about

I agree the stock breaks feel great on the stock car. I have only driven it in stock form for about 500 miles lol.

They feel like carbon ceramics ar first touch, really for a nice feel. I haven't pushed them to hard to tell how they truly feel.

My BBK should arrive by summer time, I do have great left on the stock breaks, enough time hold me off for another 1-2 months.

The 720s is in a league of its own… short of spending money on a buggati or Konesegg or Pagani… can't really compare it to anything lol.
Granted I have 1000whp on mine but oh man…

The M3 like the 720s feels special!
The chassis feels like it is overbuilt for the drivetrain.

The car in its stock form feels great! But under powered for what the car truly feels it can handle.
The M3 does not need 1000whp.
It just needs more then stock to truly feel complete IMO.

I guess we will find out tomorrow!!
I'm so pumped !!!!

You can put Pagid RSL29 racing brake pads on you OEM brakes until your BBK arrive.

Easy to do and perhaps good enough when we go to NYST in June 2nd together - hint hint

Excited to for you and to get your impressions! SC’d E9X is a really spectacular car, I can’t wait to do my suspension overhaul as now I feel the car really could use it.

Update!!!

Sooo…

Stock 60-130 = 12.5
ESS G1 Plus 60-130 = 8.5

I managed to shave off 4 seconds from my 60-130.
Car feels quicker!
Significantly faster? Not really. I could be numb to the speed increase because I upgraded the suspension and now the power is better transmitted(smoother)
Or because I drove my 720s and everything else is just slow lol.

Anyway, the car feels quicker, ideally I feel like I would like another 40-50whp or get the car into 7s from 60-130. (Without meth) this would make me happy.
I know I could with a custom tune, but also I would risk durability. I don't see a need for that.

I just ordered a smaller crank pull which should net me another 20-40hp. So let's see how that goes.

So… how is the car?

Based on all the mods I have… it's epic!
Feels like a different car.
The suspension mods transformed the car from OEM to OEM ++
Or from a bouncy, rolling car into a more stabilized car when taking roads that are not ideal if conditions.
It drives with way more confidence and road feel.
High speed lane changes or hair pin turns are far more confident inspiring.

Power ? The carbon driveshaft has amplified the throttle like a madman!!! Insane!!! The sharpness is wicked!!! This is where the M3 shines!!! The throttle response and sharpness is just so go kart like it's insane!
Yes, sharper then even a tuned 720s.

The sound though… oh man!!!! The downshifts oh man!!!!
Epic!!!

Conclusion… car needs another 40-50whp to be truly Epic!!!! (Without meth) lol

You are a speed demon just like me lol.....

I'm looking to grab the VT2-625 kit soon, it makes a little more power than the G1. I'm curious why you went with the G1 instead of the 625 or even 650 kit if you are looking for more power?

The G1 plus kit apparently makes more power per the Dyno's I have seen.
Am I wrong ?
It's a lighter more efficient unit aswell.

I'm going to change out crank pully which should net me another 1 psi of boost

What are the drawbacks of a smaller pulley?
Why wasn't it there in the first place?

I am saying it because the S65 is a high RPM engine and a fast reacting one.

If you install a smaller pulley, you will create more resistance and therefore a slower reaction engine. It won't spool up as quickly. For example, if you enjoy the quick rev match, it may not be as quick.

If you are just looking for more power, and don't care how that power is delivered, then a smaller pulley may work.

The crank pully can be reduced resulting in an additional 1psi

My boost pull is at 94MM (I'm not touching that one) unless I get meth etc.

But the crank pully can be replaced.
I was recommended this by ESS when I asked for some more juice !! Lol
