It's your car bro, do what you want to it. I ran very similar stripes 2 years back and although there was some people that love it.. there was definitely some haters. You can't please everyone bro.. to each their own!

Don't get me started on the M6 style grills lol.. people hated those. I think I was the only one that liked them cause they were different. It's small details, you can always change them. My car doesn't look the same for more than 2 weeks LOL

Take the sticker and the door edge guards off ASAP!! Car would looks 10x better without it. Get some spacers instead

I purchased the car from a friend in my building. We both have a parking spot with wire cables that the door opens up into. I'm guessing he did it to protect from scratching it there, not for aesthetic purposes.

Edit: I know what wheel spacers are. The way you worded that made me think it was something in place of the door edge guard.

I know what wheel spacers are. I thought he meant something in place of the black strip on my door that was also called a spacer.

That car is long gone. I've since had an Interlagos E90 and an Alpine F10.. recently got back into a new Alpine E92 but it's pretty stock for now. Just HRE wheels and some Bilstein coilovers.

And no, that car was actually not mine. We started the trend a few years back (I think.. since we didn't really see it on any other BMW's before we did it) and some people started to rock the stripes
