Even my old '01 325i had that same warning. Annoying, wish I could code it off.

TIL that my car works with Spotify. Apparently the icon doesn't show up unless you plug in a phone with the app running. I never really bothered with streaming music until some local stations changed format and I 'discovered' the Spotify service. I was pretty surprised to see the car recognize the app and find that all the search functions, playlists, cover art, etc. work. (2011.75 with combox and BMW apps.) It's not perfect - sometimes it doesn't connect right away - but it sounds great and I'm enjoying a lot of music I haven't heard in years and some new(ish) stuff.

Does the 08 have an M button. I just went and looked and couldn't find one on the steering wheel.

I learned that winter storage makes me go batshit insane. No 8600 RPM V8 for 5 months makes 6ixSpd go something something...

With open arms if you want to move to Florida. Had the top down Thursday night.

A good friend of mine moved down to Ft. Lauderdale two years ago, he never fails to rub in his palm tree photos this time of year

I definitely need to get out of the snowbelt, the question is when.

I did 20 years ago. As hard as it is leaving friends and family it's even harder to deal with frigid weather. And with the NFL package, you guys have no excuses that you won't be able to watch your favorite team.

I lived in Tampa the first 20+ years of my life and was so happy to escape the heat! Now I live in the opposite corner of the US and I'm looking for snow tires!

Has anyone noticed burping coming from the mufflers after a drive? I hear small burps and then a final belch.

I think I learned today that the turn lever has two settings. One for lane change turn, and one for an actual right/left turn.

You could even code it to 5 signals if your heart desires! Seems excessive though.

Ding sounds usually are never good. The last time I took her out and I heard a ding sound it was b/c one tire was low in pressure and then I found a nail in the tire.

When I glance over at the nav system, it says to be careful since it's 37F outside although my car's dash said 30F. She cares about me!
I think that’s German engineered warning telling you to take it easy in the cold because summer tires don’t do so well in the cold.

I believe the 37*F warning has to do with an increased risk of black ice or icy road conditions. The Subaru Legacy I used to have did the same thing. Good to know either way!
