I think OP is more commenting on the morals of selling replica products. Even if advertised as a replica product, they are still illegally being made against the original companies R&D and design. |

So unlikely to even be considered. Imagine replacing entire tires for 18 wheelers. It'd start costing shipping companies so much more to operate their trucks across the countries. ultimately it would hit our pocket books because we all know that costs like that are passed onto the end user. I'd rather take the risk of nailing a retread rather than have the world consume that much more rubber and raise prices for everyone.

I say we take all those re-treads, grind 'em up, and make cool replica parts out of 'em... |

Fact is, the E9X platform is old news and there's nothing new or exciting to talk about. Except maybe one last DCT vs MT thread or a 335i vs M3 thread. Maybe another rod bearing discussion? So now we have random threads and half assed responses to questions asked since everything has been covered if anyone was smart enough to do a search. Good game everyone. The F80 is here...let's pack it up and shut down this forum lol.

can someone please tell me how the knock off CF mirror caps has subpar performance than the BMW OEM ones? Would my car flip off the road if I use replicas?
Maybe my car would weigh less using OEM mirror caps due to having less cash in my wallet? |

Poor CF parts routinely yellow due to whatever different clear coat they use or bad manufacturing process. Lastly, replica CF parts frequently don't fit to oem specs. BMW has better QC and facilities to manufacture CF properly than your typical knock off replica supplier. |

Ok serious post time.
From what I see all vendors selling replicas always say they are selling replicas, I never got the impression or have known of vendors trying to pass off replicas as authethic OEM parts. Now the million dollar question for the OP is did you get scammed by a vendor who sold you replica parts as OEM, or are you just want of those do-gooders that wants to eradicate cheap knock-offs around the world? It’s time to dish bro or be gone. |

OP - Weren't you a vendor at one time? With CEC maybe?
Edit - for the record I am not a fan of fake parts, just trying to understand the motivation for the post |
