Nice! Now I'm itching to use LC, especially since I have an aftermarket GTS-DCT software that defaults to a 3,500rpm LC RPM vs. 5,500 RPM.

Yes! I am too thinking about a dct tune myself. Where did you get yours? Have you done a 3500 launch on the street?

Here's a link to DragTimes for M3 results. There's plenty of 113-116 MPH results in there. Easy to tell what is NA vs. supercharged, but much harder to tell what is stock and what isn't. http://www.dragtimes.com/BMW--M3-Dra...sort=year-down |

Went back again, unfortunately only had the opportunity to run 4 times since two cars kept spraying fluids on the track and they had to do a sweep (which takes like 20 mins).
I didn't get to use LC because I had to park the car in the pits (lines were pretty long for test-n-tune), I did one run when oil temps were slightly above the first 1/4 mark, which again was the slowest run of my evening. However, I did use MDM and just floored it. Sal@Evolve sent me a brand new file (aggressive VANOS/ignition timing map w/ the exhaust overrun feature), I only ran the file for 25 miles before getting to the track, so it may not have properly adapted. I ran with a 93/E85 blend (30% ethanol blend) with a little over a half tank of gas in the car (same as last time I went out there); car felt wonderful, the ethanol blend did exactly as it was supposed to with an octane of approx 96.5 w/ benefits of ethanol cooling effects in the combustion chambers, fuel trims were in check per logging. best 60ft 1.932; best 1/4mile 12.218@115.757mph I am still aiming for that 1.8 60ft, I'm so close! Hopefully using LC will help me get that 1.8. Otherwise, MDM with 28psi Michelin PS2 tires are a great combo, just floor it-n-go and the car figures out traction issue's almost perfectly and the car ran consistent. Like before, the car ran best with the oil temp hovering near the middle mark. Special thanks to Sal@Evolve and the Evolve team (my review of the new file will be up this weekend), I gained approx. 3 mph with the new stage II file. Going back again next Saturday for an event to see if I can aim for that 1.8 (hopefully run a 12.0@116-117mph). |

I never tryed one but I have a DCT in my Evo and I love it, but it's true that when I jump in my M and row my gears it's a feeling that I've been missing! I think I just wish I had one to have a slip in the 11s!!
