I actually agree with the DCT sound. It does sound like an auto. The actual exhaust/engine not tho did sound amazing right there

Wow I thought it was going to be more than that. I'll have to check it out when my lease is up. Always good to have competition it will make all of the car brands better.

huge difference. at that speed, every tenth is a car length. But then the V will be 10 lengths ahead of the M3 ..... In pure speed, the V smokes them both.

Yeah, but still a 13,000 premium on the M3. However, I have suspicion that the next generation F30 M3 will be in the same ballpark. If history serves itself, it will probably be 8-10,000 more than the current generation. |

With a $13k premium I couldn't imagine choosing it over the M3 unless I needed AWD. I thought it would outperform the M by a lot. There has to be some reasoning behind the price. Do you guys think the price may be adjusted based on the comparisons coming out if the RS5 is aimed to compete with the M3? Good info in this thread.

I think there's no other car to compare with the M3... Especially when you hit the M button... The driver's feeling to it. The sound at the end of the video was fenomenal... Respect BMW...

GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD! Lol... Even for a 3-year-old car, Bmw is still full of win. |

Same for the Caddy. To some people the fact that it's faster than the M3 and is built in the US (I think) make it the better car. But, I'm not "some people". Cheers.

I can agree you with on C63, but A5/S5 to M3? ha. There's no comparison. My car felt like a civic after seating in S5. |

About this 3.9 sec 0-60 thing: I believe it. But it's not the fact that the cars did it in 3.9 seconds that's important. It's the fact that the M3 and CTS were the same time and the RS5 behind. You can't compare this 3.9 seconds to one done by another car, in another place at another time with another driver. It's close; enough to say two cars are similar in performance, but not which one is the fastest.
Cheers.

oh of course. The V has 560 hp. But The M is just an all around better driving machine

I'd be fine with owning a lesser performing car when the weight difference is basically 500 lbs.
