Here's a first shot with it installed.

Let's call it the GT4 lip in OE GTS lip finish

Question to anyone running 285 or 295 square on Apex wheels that are 10.5".....

Are you running stock ride height?
Spacers?
Are you rubbing in the fender liners?

I've seen a few members posting these sizes and I am curious to know more.

I currently run 275 square on 10" rim and I rub on the fender up front. I am also lowered about 3/4" all around.

What suspension and how much camber are you running? My group of friends all have either 275 or 285 square. No issues.

I am currently running the KW HAS with -2.8 camber.

Are you running 275/35/18? That is the tried and true set up. Although for KW clubsport guys they need to run a 5mm spacer up front to clear the strut.

I don't know if it is a specific issue to the KW clubsport or to the KW HAS as well.

Your drop and camber dont seem to be an issue. Seems on the mild side. Check your strut to see if tire/tire marks are hitting it.

I have a 10 mm spacer up front as the 5mm is not enough to clear the spring perch for the KW HAS. It is my understanding that the KW HAS is larger than say the Clubsport and subsequent requires a bit more clearance with the spacer. I could try raising the car up help clear it. If I continue to track this car I will consider a true coilover setup.

Could be because the larger spacer but I've heard of 12mm spacer up front with 275 RS3 done a few years ago.

Might need more camber if you could do that first.

It does, they are up top.

Truck is frustrating to work on because all the custom stuff is standard. All the Nissan stuff is metric.

Are the Bilstein B16 damptronic coilovers a good step up from stock ZCP suspension, for track days? I live in downtown San Francisco and we have plenty of bumpy roads - really enjoy EDC and want to keep it.

if you get a good suspension setup, it's actually better than edc. more supple, yet more firm.

Do tell - which suspension set ups would fall under that category? My past experience with cup kits (matched shocks & springs) on my E46 M3 ruined the car on the street

If you want a good suspension that does street and track well, I'd look no further than Ohlins Road and Track. Probably the best suspension for a dual purpose car imo.

If you want more track focused, I'd look at something a little different with stiffer springs, maybe JRZ, MCS, AST, etc.

I recently installed Fourtune Auto 500 with the swift springs on my E92 M3. On the street, I'm 5 clicks from full soft and the I can tell the ride quality is better than OEM with the EDC. Bumps are smoother but less body roll. I think the lower center of gravity helps too. At the track its I'm 7 clicks from full stiff, and you can feel the difference in the stiffness. Ride is more direct, and planted. It's good coilover for a daily that goes the track occasionally. But if you track your car often you'll notice the coilovers is still a bit on the mild side. You could just do full stiff but its not recommended as it can cause premature damage on the coilover valves. Im happy with my Fortune Auto 500 and for the price gives it good value.

It will vary depending on each person's tolerance, but I switched to KW Clubsport 2 way coilovers earlier this year and was worried it would ruin streetability, but it turned out just fine. It gives noticeably more support in high g corners on the street and track, yet it's not too much stiffer than EDC in sport when cruising or driving over bumps/dips. Of course you can adjust them to your preference too. I run mine with all settings halfway. The only time mine feels over the top is on bumpy/rough roads under about 20 mph. I am fairly certain this would be remedied by getting the 3 way version with separate high and low speed compression settings. The ones like JRZ and MCS that Mantii mentioned have very good kits with 3 way control.
