yes, we don't get a lot of rain over here, and i don't think there are any tracks in cali that see snow.
with the exception of laguna seca and sonoma, all of our tracks are in the desert. sonoma still gets stupid hot sometimes. laguna seca is going to be great weather at any time of year, so it has become my summer thing. for the most part, the winter is the only bearable time to track. summer is doable, but it just blows.

Ooohhhh another one??!!! Ha ha!

I'm sure the UPS dude hates my guts by now. I can't count how many packages he has dropped off over the last few months. I'm sure he just goes to my place first in the morning without even checking

Man had such a blast at Streets of Willow and Big Willow!!! Both very different tracks but equally fun! Im going to post up my experience on my blog www.natsukashigarage.com and youtube video! Open passing with optional point by is sooooo fun! Shout to the advance drivers because no one crashed lol. Topak Racing was the group that hosted the two day event and I would say they are pretty good. I didn't have to pay for my track days because I won a track pass. But it for those of you wondering..... it was $160 for two days with a free transponder for the first 100 people.

What is everyone's thoughts on adding a rear wing? I am looking at the GTS wing or similar style. I am not well versed on aero and as such would value some insight. I currently have a MC GTS V2 lip. Would adding a rear wing adversely affect the handling or would it compliment the front lip?

Yes, unless by lip you mean full front splitter.

What would you classify a full front splitter?

Is the Mode Carbon a cosmetic piece or does it add any function?

Or are you referring to APR or an OEM GTS front lip?

Rip, tires. The center treads have about 4-5/32" remaining. Should've flipped them sooner.

Something like the BW splitter. I wouldn't say any lip can provide significant downforce, so if you only add a wing you'll be understeer prone. On BMW's it's easier to add rear downforce vs front.

Thanks so much for the purchase! You are indeed the very first person to have an Essex/AP Racing Radi-CAL BBK on your e46 M3!

You are going to seriously love the consistency and fun that they bring to your time out at the track. Many people tend to underestimate what their brakes can really do for them out there. Next to tires, they can have a more dramatic impact on lap times than just about everything else. I just posted on our Facebook page about this new kit, and I'll be sending out an email about it next week. Enjoy the heck out of them, and thanks again for your support!

Unsure if the lip does much. A proper splitter with an under panel is what you'd need for the front if you add a big ass wing at the back.

For reference on the IP race car our front splitter broke at Sebring this year and we ran 2 FULL seconds a lap slower with the wing on. Car was a pig at high speeds (makes sense). Took the wing off and ran the SAME time since it was more balanced.

2 weeks ago on the TTD FRS I threw in the APR GT200 (smaller wing) at the back (bolt in) and took data. Granted the rear was pinned (no front splitter at that time) and the car ran the SAME laptime. Looking at the Summit Point data I lost 3 mph (from 118MPH to 115 with wing) on the straight but had more confidence at some of the higher speed corners (at the cost of slight understeer since we didnt have the splitter). Front full splitter on for the TT this weekend at VIR.

Bottom line, if you are going to install the aero, do it right. My suggestion is to speak with Bimmerworld (Phil is very knowledgeable).

I pretty much destroyed my front fender liners from being too low at Willow Springs Raceway... Should I replace them or can I get away running without fender liners?

I do track in the wet, but I have driven other cars without fender liners in the wet with no issues though. I did raise my car up 0.5 inches, and I hope that will help the fender liner rubbing problem. Next track day is October...

Does anybody know what hub adapter this is? Or does anybody know one that looks exactly like this but matches the OEM plastic?

I think with a GTS type wing the GTS type lip is fine.

My understanding is both of these combined are to reduce any lift as opposed to giving massive downforce so they should be a good match for each other.

On the one hand though, not sure they exact airflow difference between coupe and sedan for the rear GTS wing.

For the front lip you have, you may want to reinforce it with some screws or build some brackets to chassis mount it.

I have a gt4 lip, apr splitter and apr rear wing (curved type) going on soon. I can use nt01 again! Lol

Before straight vs curved argument. If Porsche can use it on their cars it's good enough for me too

Halo seat added.
