Congrats! Getting a car for your birthday is awesome but getting an M3 is amazing! Definitely get familiar with the car! Don't give in to people who might provoke you to do dumb things. The car gets a lot of attention and most of the time it's good but not always.

As a parent, I'd never give my son a M3 for his birthday. MAYBE if he graduated medical school or something that took some hard work to accomplish. But no way in hell I'd buy him one at 16!

I agree 100%. I have a 16 yr old. He got a used 2008 Honda CRV and I could have bought him one. I never would. We even made him buy half. Since he spent his hard earned money you would think it was an M3. He baby's that thing.

I really don't like to see this at all. These kids should be driving and starting at the bottom like millions of other teens and earn the car. This kid should be driving a Honda Civic or Mazda 3. Plain and simple. I won't argue this.

Parents that were brought up in the 1970s and 1980s are weak minded and way to giving, not allowing their children to actually learn the value of the dollar.

Children in their teens, yes they are kids/children should not be driving a $70,000+ car. I don't care what you have to say about this. This is a fact.

I can see graduating from college but not from high school. I would not brag or even post this. When I was a teen at your age I would never have posted this. I for one had a Honda. Loved it and learned how to work on the car.

I do pay for gas insurance mods and maintenance on my m. As well as a percentage of the cost of the car.

And I haven't gotten a ticket (other than one front plate ticket which prompted me to get a tow hook mount)

If/when I have kids though they are getting some 1980 e30 or Volvo wagon. Fuck no no m3

I got a 1977 Chevy Nova for my 16th and loved the hell out of it!
