Sorry if it's been mentioned before, but is there any way to reserve a set? I'm taking the risk of waiting until release of this new design with 33ppm lead readings. Also probably skipping out on half the track season while I wait. I'd be really upset if I missed the order.

That's BMW's price. I would assume it's based on their cost...but that's just an assumption.

Yes, they will be like the older 088/089 bearings but with tri-armor coating.

I'm in for s set too. Had my car recently supercharged and decided to wait on these bearings instead of the WPCs.

I don't even need a set of them presently, but I'll happily buy a set to support the cause.

Has anyone recently ordered a set of Vac Motorsports bearings?

I just picked up my set today and noticed this:

Vac just gets the stock bearings coated. AFAIK the stock bearings are made by Clevite. I could be wrong.

They are not stock bearings. They are a custom bearing like we are doing but still different. It has been covered over in the Bearing Thread.

Yes, this has been discussed in the bearing wiki thread.

Clevite only made the factory bearings on MY2008 - 2010.5 cars.

I'm currently looking at E92 M3's but haven't found one yet. If these bearings are released before I find a car I'll still probably buy a set just to be prepared
