I always struggle with this new lingo. Hence, why I prefer to talk verbally than text. When I do text, I use full words and sentences (for the most part). I also don't text people who use talk like that

I feel like an oddball. Seems like people my age don't message with real words, no punctuation, run on sentences, and such. I've started to grow into them and shorten everything up.

Everywhere else though, complete sentences for clarification purposes.

Ugh, I feel dirty.

If we were all still typing with T9Word or ABC or whatever, i could understand it. But we have full keyboards and autocorrect/Swype now. There's no reason not to say exactly what you want.

I sometimes do for casual talk. But for business/work/serious talk, it's all proper.

I am the curmudgeon who never uses "text speak". My kids make fun of me, because my texts are all long form, proper punctuation, capitalization and spelling. All the time. i just cannot do it.

Text speak is such a turn off. Ugh. I will generally abbreviate if I'm in a rush, like using the word "tmrw".
