Nice that you put that up as I am going to thunder next week ( only been there once so I don't remember it very well). Didn't run the chicane then, but it looks interesting. Glad you got loose of the slower cars after the first couple of laps ( I hate trains).

Jan here. That was a fun day. Can I get a little credit JK. I see at least 2 seconds if you don't have your wife in the car and there is a lot of speed wasted on track out in a some corners: 2, 5, 6, 8, 10. We should go again and I bet you do a 1:53 and I wouldn't be surprised with a 1:52. I will have my new suspension in so we could do an M3 battle: E36 vs. E92. I'll have to do something special to go as fast as you. I could only do a 1:57 and I don't see new suspension getting me 4 seconds. |

You just need to drive my car and form your own opinion. Maybe you can take it out or a session at next NASA. You could also come and take it for a drive on public roads but that's not as fun. |

nice man. How often do you go out there? Those are very good times!
I'm currently trying to get some track tires, but it seems more involved than I expected. Will probably need to get new wheels, then tires (I was told dunlop durreza), then store tires at the ring... whew, a lot of expenses. |

If my wife wasn't in the car maybe like .5 second...LOL Yea I looked at the video and I know I can go faster in a lot of the other corners...first time there. I'll let you know when I go back to Infineon! I love that track...I just came back from Laguna Seca and did a 1:44 over there but I still likes Infineon way better |

I had MASSIVE amounts of sound trouble I had to cut my RPi x pipe and put glass packs in but STILL did a 94db (limit 92) so I had to short shift at 6k |

2008 E92 M3 6MT
Track/Course: Laguna Seca Best Lap Time: 1:45.2 Brakes: Stock w/ Stop Tech Street Pads and SRF Fluid Tires (Size & Model): RS3 275/35/18 square Suspension: JIC/Cross Coilovers Other Mods: Euro MDM Have bumper cam from fastest lap but need to find it and post. Attached is video from a 1:45.4. Lots of places to get faster -- probably should use 2nd gear through Turn 2, traffic stuffed entry onto straight (T11) at beginning and I blew it at the end of the lap, letting off too early going into T2 and T8, etc. Hopefully at least a 1:44 next time (if not faster!) Oh and Harry's Lap Timer was so freaking buggy Nonstop problems, with and without external GPS (waste of $100 given the unreliability of Harry's.... PLUS the $20 app cost). Was very frustrating This was without external GPS (why speed is erratic) because I stopped getting ANY video or timing when using it. Luckily I paid $20 for timing for the weekend so I got my real times for each session... http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v...lF3Y&vq=hd1080

^Very nice!
All I could manage when I was there was a 1:46.9 (well according to Harry's anyways). In my defense it was unusually hot for laguna Still had fun though! |

Track/Course: Laguna Seca Best Lap Time: 1:45.021 Brakes: Brembo BBK with Endless ME20 pads Tires (Size & Model): NT01 275/35/18 and 275/40/18 Suspension: PSi Raceline kit (Ohlins) Less than a second faster than my best effort on RS3s, stock suspension, and Stoptech pads a few months ago (1:45.86). Need to dial in my new suspension and dial in the driver for the suspension. Will post a vid of a 1:45.3ish lap later. Didn't get my fast lap on video. Great to meet you, Ryan! It's astonishing how close our lap times were in each and every session. |

BTW -- are you using an Emprum GPS with Harry's Lap Timer? (I thought I saw that setup in a vid of yours). I tried it for the first time at Laguna -- worked fine for like two sessions and then it just stopped picking up lap times (or would get a max of the first or second of a session...). Finally "solved" the issue by going back to the internal GPS... but the speed/G readings are abysmal and the laptimes are less accurate (Harry told me I got a 1:44.7 and I was STOKED... until I saw the actual time sheet )
