The front end is really horrible!! Furthermore, the design isn't clean; it feels really busy and difficult to take in. I don't think they embraced the concept that there is a lot of beauty in simplicity.

Keep making the SUVs and people carriers for the U.S market and give the CSL's to the rest of us. Never seen so much negative comment. design concepts are meant to provoke debate but it needs to be objective !

By the way the longer I stare at he hideous neon yellow paint color and tacky polished chrome parts the more nauseous I get. This exterior paint and finish color combo came out of BMW corporate not some SEMA show crappy customizer that is why I am so perplexed by it, it instantly creates a negative emotionally response, like a gag reflex - and that is not a good thing. Please someone key this car so BMW is forced to repaint it properly to do this design some justice! |

Now that car has an aerodynamic-sized grill! That's what I'm talking about.

Strayed too far from the classic lines and lost the essence of the original cohesive design.

For the record; I miss Bangle and his boldness of ideas. He was mocked but he moved design forward for all the luxury brands. I am happy some attempt is made to bring back some spark to BMW but let's not get burned in the process please. |

This concept, fantastic. Too bad it gets so much hate, I think that most of us aren't ready for what BMW Design has to offer.

I love ultra modern wicked designs but they have to work visually and aerodynamically throughout the whole vehicle. Not just the rear or front end, as a whole their needs to be design cohesion. Their is nothing worse the seeing a Concept Wall of great ideas and overall concepts. And some corporate jackass picks the worst one to be produced. That drives me banannas. The fold over "flaps" on the front quarter panels seem completely unnecessary.

From another BMW forum: remove the unnecessary folds on the quarter pannels and blackout the similarly unnecessary chrome on the kidneys and wheels and you've got a very nice production CSL....

Deja vu
That grille reminds me of something I saw way back in 2009.

I am going to go out on the lim here...
I think these are not as special as the "Mellow Yellow". The ideas of the concept are spot on but there is too much going on one canvas. Too much grill, too many coke bottle curves, and I believe too much wing in the rear.
The silhouette, stance and proportions are spot on and need refining touches. |

BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage
Absolutley stunning looking car and it really emphasises what BMW are capable of creating when they let a design team let loose.
I reckon we could possibly see some of these design cues in future BMW production models. My local BMW centre (Knights BMW) put together an article on the concept car, below for anyone interested. http://www.knightsbmw.com/#!The-BMW-...f2adc1ad5b4b3f |

Haven't went through all the pages, but whatever is on the front page is easily the most disgusting design I have ever seen. Waaaaaaay worse than a Pontiac Aztec. It makes the GT-R cosmetics look like an Aston Martin. I would be ashamed to even park next to one. Hell, I'm ashamed that concept even got that far. I don't know if a 10yr old or a blind person designed it, but it literally makes me want to jump ship to a different brand.
