Did you measure from the wheel bearing holes to the ball joint connection points by any chance? Is it easy to measure now that it's installed? Cheers |

I did this job a couple weekends ago and wanted to share a couple things that I encountered along the way.
In my case, I needed 2 washers per bolt to centre the rear calipers. Last edited by Banma; 09-25-2020 at 11:58 AM.. |

Also, there was a small ridge on the rear dust sheild that contacted the inside of the rotors and made an unmistakable metal on metal sound. Once the rotors came off again, I used a hammer and chisel to pound it back out of the was a couple degrees all the way around and that was all it took

And finally, the wheel speed sensor issue: Just use f8x sensors on the f8x spindles! Splice on the e9x connector. Its dead simple, white wire to white, black wire to black and off you go. I haven't had a single issue

Less cost, all oem parts, lifetime fcp replacement pads and rotors, 380mm vs 355mm front rotor.
Performance difference between the two can probably be debated or might not even be much of a difference but the above can't. Either option is good, and it's good to have different options available. You just choose the best one for your needs.

I paid $2250 for a lightly used set of calipers, pads and rotors. Then I purchased two M4 knuckles for $180 each. I didn't account for the different M4 lugs, nor the requirement to move to 19" ZCP wheels.
I'm very happy with the performance of this brake set up, albeit with Pagid RSL29s and RBF660 fluid. The ability to better modulate the brake application significantly improved my laptimes though I don't necessarily think absolute stoping performance has improved. I'd recommend the upgrade if your existing set up was as tired as mine, circa 160k miles on the calipers I suspect. |

My cost was $1600 for all 4 corners. Probably a bit more now depending on how much you find parts for. Quote:

https://www.buybrakes.com/stoptech-8...ce-brake-rotor I doubt you'll see anything close to $2300 for a new kit any time soon. Used kits are also hard to find.

But that is a decent amount more than I paid for my setup which I am happy with.

Retrofit Caliper Bracket
Anyone find a reliable source for only the bracket to retrofit front calipers [F80, Brembos]?
Seems either bundled w/BBK or not sold separately. Turner example:
